The First Video You Should Make as a Real Estate Agent

The first and easiest video you should make as a real estate agent is a talking head video. It's simple to make and can be a wealth of knowledge. Talking head videos are exactly what it sounds like. You are taking a video of your head and you are talking. Hence the Talking Heads name. You need to focus on 4 things when it comes to talking heads. Video, Audio, Lighting, and Content. Video Chance are that you have a smart phone near you now. You might even be reading this on your smart phone. Use that to record the video. The quality of smart phones over the past 4+ years are very good and certainly good enough for your video. Second part of the video is the composition. What am I seeing in the background. How do I look in the image? Am I tiny or huge or look pretty good sized? Lighting Lighting is what makes you look good. You will want to find a window or a patio to record the video. Windows make for a great light source. They are big and they will face you like a giant lighting soft box. You can also use a patio where you are standing under the patio and the light from the patio opening is shining on your face. Walk around with the camera in selfie mode to see how you look. Pick a spot where you look the best. Audio People will watch a bad video with good audio longer than they will watch a good video with bad audio. Get to a quiet place to record your video. No trains, buses, lawn mowers etc. The audio in the phone is perfectly acceptable for your first video. Just make sure it's quiet. Content Content is King, they say. Now what do you talk about? Start with current events or answer questions that you hear all the time. For example, how much do you need for a down payment? How much is my mortgage payment going to be? My rule... anytime I hear the same question twice I need to do a video. The biggest challenge of doing video is doing your first video, then your second, then your third. Eventually it becomes natural. Just remember how nervous you were on your first listing appt. Now, it's not so bad because you've done it a ton of times. Do This ONE THING to add 10 EXTRA hours this week! | Secrets of a Successful Real Estate Agent

This little trick really shouldn't be a secret, but it is. For most. Let me teach you about time boxing. This is one of the techniques that people like Elon Musk and Bill Gates use to manage their time take control of what they do. Download the template here: https://bit.ly/3MWxH2n Step 1 of time boxing is to start auditing your schedule. Print out the template and leave it blank. Then set a recurring 30 minute timer on your phone. For the next 24 hours write down exactly what you are doing. Do this for at least 24 hours. It's even better to do it for 3-4 days. Don't make any changes to your schedule yet. Through the auditing process you will start to find areas where you can improve. We will make those changes on step 2. Just keep documenting what you are doing. Step 2 is building your perfect week. Start with 'me' time then move to family, primary job, etc. Prioritize what is the most important to you and work from their. My most important is me time. If my mind isn't right, I miss a workout, I don't eat, etc. I won't be the person that I need to be for my family and for my clients. Me time is the most important so do that first. Next is family time, date nights, traveling, and so on. Then plug in your work, projects, hobbies, and so on. You can break your schedule down by as little as 10 minutes or as much as 1 hour. I like 30. 30 minutes is a lot of time if you really get into it. And an hour is was too long. I don't expect you to stick to this schedule perfectly every single day so I add flex time. For example, if I get a call I need to take during my email time. My email time will get pushed. Also, don't try to make it perfect. There is no perfect. Make a schedule for this week and keep a pen on your so you can make changes as needed. Over the next 4 weeks you will have a super efficient schedule with many hours back in your week. Hope this helps you be just a little more efficient this week. Kind Regards, Jordan P.S. If you need more time than. you can find here... wake up earlier!
