    El sótano - Young Fresh Fellows; la magia de "Loft" - 23/03/26

    Te presentamos en primicia el nuevo trabajo de los Young Fresh Fellows. El álbum “Loft” (Yep Roc) toma su nombre del estudio de Chicago, propiedad de Wilco, donde lo gestaron en dos fases bien diferenciadas. En la primera grabaron las canciones en apenas 8 horas; con su formato de cuarteto (guitarras, bajo y batería), sonido crudo y directo, prácticamente improvisando sobre la marcha. En la segunda exploraron hasta donde podían llevarlas con trabajo de postproducción y añadiendo instrumentistas invitados que expandieron su sonido. El resultado es uno de los discos más ambiciosos y emocionantes de esta banda en sus más de cuatro décadas de trayectoria.     Abrimos con Peter Case, pionero del power pop con The Nerves y The Plimsouls, llevaba décadas de trayectoria como uno de los grandes trovadores estadounidenses del folk-blues. Su próximo álbum es un directo, “My life to live”, grabado en la legendaria tienda de guitarras McCabe's en Santa Mónica.     Guerssen Records celebra 30 años de andadura con unos cuantos lanzamientos muy especiales. Reeditan el sublime “Piknik caleidoscópico” (1986), debut de Los Negativos y, por qué no decirlo, uno de los mejores álbumes de nuestra música -así, sin etiquetas-. La disquera catalana lanza también una colección de singles en vinilo rescatando oscuras joyitas del garage y la psicodelia. El 28 de marzo lo celebran en Lleida con charla, exposición, documental y concierto. Felices 30 y enhorabuena por el trabajo bien hecho.     Icónica figura del punk y el hardcore californiano. Tras pasar por Social Distortion y The Detours, Rikk Agnew llegó a los Adolescents a tiempo para grabar su debut, el legendario álbum azul, firmando buena parte de las canciones. La inmediata disolución de la banda lo llevó a gestar su primer disco en solitario, “All by myself” (1982), grabación de estudio casero donde él mismo tocó todos los instrumentos. Fue un trabajo más intimista, de sonido áspero y que expandía las fronteras del género, motivos por el que algunos lo criticaron duramente -como el fanzine Maximum Rocknroll-, mientras otros lo reivindicamos como una joya de su tiempo. Acaba de ser reeditado por la casa Munster Records.
