    We made it to Episode 10! 🥹🎙️ For the Season 1 finale, I’m looking back at a few different versions of Rencee—the girl from Trinidad, Ecuador Rencee, Barcelona Rencee, Madrid Rencee, Party Rencee 😂 and the woman who eventually found herself building a life in Lugo. There are things I wish I could tell each of them...and some things I'm glad they got to figure out for themselves. Ten episodes later, I still don't know by now.     EP08 I Thought I'd Know By Now... Keep it Pushing!

    Sometimes nothing goes wrong… you just know it’s time to move on. In Episode 8, I’m reflecting on leaving Madrid, a city that had been incredibly good to me, simply because I knew I was ready for something different. I thought that “something different” was going to be sunshine and beaches in Málaga… but God clearly had other plans. 😂 This episode is about knowing when to keep it pushing, trusting yourself when a chapter feels complete, and having the courage to move even when you don’t know exactly where you’ll land. Because leaving doesn’t always mean something failed. Sometimes, it simply means something finished. 🤍

    Party Rencee stayed READY. 😂 But somewhere between Ecuador, Madrid, growing up and spending more time with myself, the things that once filled my cup started to change. Episode 7 is about giving yourself permission to evolve — without rejecting who you used to be or apologising for who you’re becoming.     EP06 I Thought I'd Know By Now...Becoming My Own Safety Net

    Madrid was where independence got REAL. From paying bills and constantly getting lost on the metro to building a home and community thousands of miles away from Trinidad, Episode 6 is about the chapter that taught me I could figure things out — maybe not immediately, and definitely not gracefully, but eventually. 😂 A reflection on adulthood, independence, finding your people and learning to become your own safety net.

In Episode 5 of I Thought I'd Know By Now, I share the story of leaving my host family, spending a summer in the beautiful countryside of Vic, Catalunya, and taking my biggest leap yet,moving to Madrid completely on my own.

    Episode 1: The Detour That Changed Everything There was a time when I thought I knew exactly what my life would look like. Instead, I found myself in an unhealthy relationship, praying one simple prayer: "God... please get me out." What I didn't realize was that His answer wouldn't look anything like I expected. In this very first episode of I Thought I'd Know By Now, I'm sharing the story of how a volunteer opportunity in Ecuador, an unexpected friendship, and a one-way ticket to Spain became the beginning of a completely different life than the one I had planned. Looking back, I can see how God was quietly working through every unexpected turn, even when I couldn't see it in the moment.
