Is Halloween just harmless fun, or is there a spiritual reality behind the traditions that many people overlook? On this special returning episode of the Cryptid Warfare Podcast, Heather joins us again for a powerful, thought-provoking discussion about The Truth About Halloween and the spiritual questions surrounding one of the most widely celebrated holidays in America. From encounters and disturbing testimonies we experienced or heard involving Satanists and occult practices to stories of people who have experienced deliverance through Jesus Christ, we pull back the curtain on the darkness that can hide behind seemingly innocent traditions. I also share experiences and things I dealt with during my time in law enforcement, As well as Heather being a Deliverance Minister. Were bringing real-world perspective to a conversation that goes far beyond costumes, candy, and carved pumpkins. Together, we examine Halloween through a biblical lens, discussing pagan roots, occult practices, spiritual deception, the symbolism associated with Halloween traditions, the concerns surrounding costumes and identity, and the importance of discerning what we allow into our homes and into the lives of our children. We also confront a difficult question for the Church: What glory does celebrating Halloween bring to God and Jesus Christ? Why do so many Christians participate in traditions that others associate with darkness? Where should believers draw the line between cultural entertainment and compromising their convictions? And how can Christians stand for biblical truth without losing sight of the Gospel, repentance, and the saving power of Jesus Christ? We open the Scriptures and examine passages including Ephesians 5:11, 1 Corinthians 10:20–21, Ephesians 6:12, 2 Corinthians 11:14, and 1 Thessalonians 5:22 as we discuss spiritual discernment, the works of darkness, and the importance of testing what we accept as harmless. This episode is not simply about Halloween. It is about spiritual warfare, deception, discernment, and the battle for our families and the next generation. Are we teaching our children to walk in the light of Christ, or are we allowing culture to shape their understanding of darkness and evil? Are we examining traditions through the Word of God, or simply following what everyone else does? The enemy does not always present himself as something frightening. Scripture warns that Satan can masquerade as an angel of light. That is why discernment matters. Our message is clear: Jesus Christ is the Light of the world, and we are called to expose darkness rather than participate in it. SCRIPTURES DISCUSSED • Ephesians 5:11 — Expose the unfruitful works of darkness. • 1 Corinthians 10:20–21 — You cannot partake of the Lord’s table and the table of demons. • Ephesians 6:12 — Our struggle is not against flesh and blood. • Ephesians 4:27 — Give no foothold to the devil. • 2 Corinthians 11:14 — Satan masquerades as an angel of light. • 1 Thessalonians 5:22 — Abstain from every form of evil. • 1 Peter 5:8 — Be alert and sober-minded. • Proverbs 22:6 — Train up a child in the way he should go. THE CALL TO THE CHURCH This is a call to examine our hearts, test our traditions against Scripture, protect the next generation, and put Jesus Christ above the ways of the world. We are not called to live in fear of darkness, but to walk in the authority and light of Christ. If you have questions about Halloween, have witnessed disturbing encounters, have a testimony of deliverance, or have struggled to understand the spiritual side of these traditions, this episode is for you!
