    IN CONVERSATION: Dylan Alcott

    Hiiiiii listener friends!

You asked, we listened. Today, we bring you the man you've all been wanting on the show for quite some time: the utterly impressive Dylan Alcott. Dylan is a professional athlete, media personality, motivational speaker, bestselling author, and disability advocate. (And us? We're completely out of breath just typing that.)

In this episode, we talk about the childhood moment that shaped Dylan's approach to life, his career jump from pro basketball to tennis, and the love story with his partner Chantelle.

    Calabasas Lobster

The greatest of mornings to you all, Shameless family!

On today's show: We hear from a few of your lovely voices via our brand new Shameless hotline. Then, we talk about the Hayley Williams profile that made us think a little deeper about female anger and how to harness it. Finally, a conversation on the lipstick effect and self care in an era of economic downturn.

Zara recommended two episodes of the podcast This American Life: The Show of Delights episode and their Birds & Bees episode. She also recommended linen clothing from Kehoe because YES TO LINEN CLOTHING. Mich recommended you watch 9 Life Lessons from Tim Minchin on Youtube. Also! Lou Lou Lips, if you're looking for some local, top quality lippies.

Give us a buzz on 0482 472 301 and talk to us! About anything pod related! Or unrelated! We just wanna chat, pretty please. OK, we're done being clingy. Love you.

    IN CONVERSATION: Brooke Jowett

    IN CONVERSATION: Brooke Jowett

OH HELLO! Happy In Conversation day, listener friend!

Today on the show, we're joined by the sunny Brooke Jowett. If you're a fan of Survivor Australia, you'll no doubt be familiar with Brooke, who has now appeared on two separate seasons of the show (the first, which aired in 2016, and the one on your television screens right now!).

In this episode, we talk about how Brooke made a name for herself as a fierce competitor on the show so many of us adore, as well as how she feels about dominating headlines lately. Sure, Brooke's the woman who was blindsided by the country's next big Bachelor star. But she's also the woman who's shown Australia what she's made of - twice - without a phone, or a wardrobe, or any of the creature comforts that keep you and I sane day-to-day.

Thank you so much to Bioré for making this episode of Shameless possible. Check out Bioré's pore strips here.

    A little dose of joy

    A little dose of joy

Oh hi there, glorious listener pals!

Today on the show: A discussion on how we seek out joy during a time of overwhelmingly rampant news coverage. Where are the slithers of light amongst the dark? Where is the line between being educated about world events and being utterly overwhelmed? Then, we jump right to the biggest pop culture news story of the week - the Woody Allen memoir that was pulled just before its release to the public.

Thank you so much to today's sponsor, Modi Bodi. You can check out their stuff by clicking here. But wait! There's more! Use the code 'SHAMELESS15' at checkout for 15% off your order, if you like discounts, of course.

    IN CONVERSATION: Jules Von Hep

    IN CONVERSATION: Jules Von Hep

Happy Thursday to all our fine-footed friends in the world!

Today on the show we are joined by Jules Von Hep, who we also like to refer to as a human ray of sunshine. Jules is a celebrity tanning expert, the founder of tanning juggernaut Isle of Paradise, co-host of the Jules and Sarah podcast and champion of body confidence.

We first met Jules last year when we hosted MECCALAND and were immediately drawn to him: he is one of the kindest, warmest, most exuberant humans we have ever had the pleasure of meeting through this job. Yes, Jules is a tanning expert - and has tanned some of the most famous women in the world - but goodness, he is also so much more than that. Jules is a warrior for body confidence, infusing much of his ethos about loving and embracing our bodies on his Instagram feed and in his brand.

A quick plot twist before we jump into this chat - Zara wasn't actually there. She fell ill on the morning we were due to record with Jules and, because he lives in London, it was impossible to re-schedule. So, while she had huge amounts of FOMO listening to this one back, she loved SO much getting the pleasure of enjoying this one as a listener. Mich and Jules cover everything from his battle with an eating disorder as a young man, to tanning celebrities like Kendall Jenner to the birth of his mammoth, internationally stocked beauty brand, Isle of Paradise.

For more from Jules, you can find him @julesvonhep and @theisleofparadise. As always, we are @shamelesspodcast.

    Do you have 'interxiety'?

It's Monday! AND a public holiday! AAAAND episode drop day! Hooray!

On today's show: Toilet paper. Yes, you know exactly what we're talking about. The great Australian toilet paper shortage of 2020 that's left us completely perplexed. Plus, we look into The Bachelor Australia's false start with their announcement of Locky Gilbert as next season's star. And finally, how 'interxiety' - a term we most definitely made up - has kept us up this week.

This week, Mich recommended the newest book by Marian Keyes, Grown Ups. Find it here. Zara recommended Elizabeth Kate Russell's book, My Dark Vanessa, which you can find here.

Thank you so much to today's sponsor, ANZ. To download their app we spoke about in today's episode, head here.
