    July Book Club: The Poet Empress | Episode 174

    Our July Book Club pick was The Poet Empress by Shen Tao, and we're so glad so many of you enjoyed it! Unfortunately, it didn't quite work for us. While we all agreed the writing was beautiful and poetic, the story itself fell flat. We also share a bit of bookish news in this episode, so even if you didn't read this month's pick, we hope you'll still tune in! Announced in this episode is our August Book Club selection: Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn!     June Book Club: Hamnet | Episode 170

    This week we discuss our June book club pick, Hamnet by Maggie O'Farrell. We had a lot of mixed feelings on this book as well as the movie. Micaela still isn't loving the classics but Hannah and Kyleigh did enjoy this one!
