Based on the novel “Jack Returns Home,” Get Carter failed to reach the heights of the 1971 version and only made back roughly 33% of its production budget. Sylvester Stallone was definitely trying to do something new with his career in 2000, but the film didn’t resonate with critics or the general audience. ‘Re-MAY-ke” month is upon us! That’s right! For the whole month of May, we are re-examining some of the biggest remake bombs in cinema history. We kick off the month with "Emcee" (Alex) and "Cupcake" (Jose) from Watch/Skip+ and discuss 1998’s remake of the Alferd Hitchcock classic - Psycho. Known as a shot-for-shot remake, the 1998 film brings all the color, violence, and maybe an orifice (just listen) to the updated version. The film failed to recoup its massive budget but, surprisingly, wasn’t hated by everyone. However, the most important questions is whether we considered it a bomb! For that, you need to listen!
