One Shot is a podcast about role playing games. Every month, host and Game Master James D'Amato leads a group of players on a self-contained adventure. Every adventure will be wrapped up in 4-5 episodes in time for a new story, in a new system, with new players the following month. One Shot will explore ever RP system possible to give listeners a sampling of the possibilities in the wide wild of role playing.
382. Hammer of the Earth Part 3
It's time for the Outriders to actually venture into the territory of the creeping ruin. They are relatively safe near the tracks and the vibrations of the Hammer which repel its influence. However, they will have to travel quite far to find the source of their fuel.
381. Hammer of the Earth Part 2
The outriders have their mission: venture into the creeping ruin and find fuel to keep The Hammer moving. As long as the Hammer moves the rails rattle and humanity survives. This is their last chance, as it always is.
380. Hammer of the Earth Part 1
James sits down with Johnathan Sims, Sasha Sienna, Ben Meradith, and Anil Godigamuwe to design a train carrying the last hopes of humanity and civilization. Predictably, that train in a world of trouble and fraught with political in-fighting.
379. InSp3tres Part 3
The Snatchers face down the ghostly projections of former business competitors as they try to understand how there could be any hauntings left in the industrialized phantasm poaching world. If they don't discover the answer soon they might need snatching themselves!
because they will be dead and ghosts. does that make sense?
378. InSp3tres Part 2
The Spirit snatchers make their way from Venezuela to Florida and contemplate what could possibly evade their top ten radio hit-based ghost deterrents and evade other hunting organizations. Well, no. Some groups might do that. The Spirit Snatchers carefully gave this absolutely no thought whatsoever.
377. InSp3tres Part 1
Felix "Flex" Cockhammer, Dylan Crackbacker, and Mark "The Summer Soldier" Summers return with their new friend Spaceman Hotep IV to face the first house call that they've had in a very long time.

A fun RPG podcast for everyone
Ever since I saw an episode of One Shot in Reddit's /r/rpg I've been hooked. One Shot features various games, from popular ones to indies and homebrews, with a lighthearted tone. The podcast's game master, James, is really good at teaching the systems and as a listener I always know what's going on. Laughing is guaranteed while listening to the podcast, with episodes like Everyone is Joker and Pulp Cthulhu. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who wants to know more about RPGs OR just likes to listen to actual plays of RPGs.
Good, with some problems
Excellent content, mostly good production values (music overlays are sometimes really annoying if you listen with headphones, as volumes changes are huge). Largest problem is in gamemastering, as there is obvious GM’s girlfriend or GM has crush on PC syndrome. Kat’s character is always the most important central character. Other characters are kind of unnecessary as Kat’s supercharacter could solve all problems herself. Other great players rescue the situation somewhat.
James is a good GM, and I would love to hear him GMing a new players without biases towards one favorite player.
I have to confess I haven’t listened all episodes yet. But after first few campaings the favoring towards one player is obvious.
