Customer Reviews
Perhaps a bit challenging to appreciate at first but...
But Within the Wires comes through. I tried listening to the first season several times before I gave up — while there is that dark undertone in the tapes, the first two just weren’t enough to keep me interested. However I made an unconventional decision and started listening the third season and I was blown away! It does require your full attention if you want to understand the lore but it didn’t bother me. I’m glad I gave the podcast a chance because the second season was equally good and now I’m more than curious to know the information the first season can give me.
WtW can appear a bit slow but each season builds up to an intense finale. The storylines are well crafted and the big time skips allow the story to evolve in a different way than most stories. The seasons have very different tones, which is understandable since the seasons themselves are so different from each other. The diversity and different point of views keep things fresh while you concentrate on the main plot of the full story of WtW: what kind of a society have humans created in this alternative universe.
