We need a programmable logic controller (PLC) to manage the operation of the assembly line.

可編程邏輯控制器PLC的功用是用來管理和控制機械和電機的運作，例如管理工廠的生產線。Program是電腦程式，後面字尾able就是可以的意思。Assembly是組裝的意思，把東西組裝起來的產線叫作assembly line，也可以說production line。機械的操作、運行叫作operate，名詞把結尾改成tion，就是oparation。
