After a long hiatus due to festival season, we attempt to ease back into our schedule with a fun, light hearted, comedic gem. Just remember: it’s what on the inside that counts.     “Past Lives” (2023)

    Keeping it in theme with Valentines and romance, Beto chose a movie he hadn’t even seen himself yet: “Past Lives.” Similar to “Blue Valentine”, it explores themes that, although aren’t overdramatized, are far too real to ignore. It won’t make you cry, but you might sulk for a while if you’ve experienced what Nora and Hae Sung have gone through. We paired this episode with High Noon Vodka Seltzers, clocking in at a light, but delicious 4.5% ABV.

Milo chose what he thought was a really sad movie and it really is a sad movie; it is a movie that happens every day. People fall in and out of love and we talk about why it was an interesting decision to show the parallels of people falling in and out of love.     Witness me! We took a ride down to Valhalla, but unfortunately, are still mediocre. We talked about George Miller’s 4th installment in the Mad Max series: an absolutely amazing dystopian, action movie with a killer score, beautiful landscape scenes and some crazy stunts and car chases! Chris had been sitting on talking about this one since the podcast was conceived and it did not disappoint.
