    Behind The Badge- Chris Hargreaves

    On the 20th anniversary of one of the darkest days in Oxford United's history, Dan and James spoke to one of the main figures who played for the club as they dropped out of the Football League before almost coming straight back. Chris Hargreaves, or 'Greavsie' as he's fondly known, did not hold back in his assessment of the state of United on and off the pitch in the 2005/06 season. He almost led United to an immediate return from the Conference in 2006/07 before leaving for Torquay - helping them back into the league - and then returning to the U's in 2010 as a member of the squad that famously gained promotion at Wembley.     Over a fantastic 10-year period, Les Robinson played more than 450 games for Oxford United at an amazing ratio of 45 per season. A more than reliable right-back, Les was a mainstay of a team that not only competed superbly in the second tier but also enjoyed some memorable cup runs.     Behind The Badge- Joe Skarz

    While the likes of Kemar Roofe, Chris Maguire and Danny Hylton brought the goals, creativity and flair to Oxford United's 2015/16 promotion winning season, the likes of Joe Skarz added the defensive brilliance that enabled the aforementioned stars to take League Two by storm. United signed left-back Skarz in the January 2015 transfer window and he had racked up more than 100 games by the time he left two-and-a-half years later.
