Lost Stories - Nasruddin feeds his Coat

Hey story lovers! While you’re waiting for the next new story, we’ve decided to look back into the archives at some stories that got a bit lost for a while. Every other week, we will be giving these episodes a spot light and calling them 'the lost stories'. Our story is all about the wise fool Nasruddin. He’s a wonderful character whose tales are told all across the Islamic world – India, Pakistan, the middle east, turkey, Afghanistan, even parts of Greece, Albania, Macedonia, Russia, even China. Mullah Nasruddin is sometimes called 'Hodja' – which means master, and his lessons are very interesting. He gets up to all sorts of funny antics, but we also learn that he can be unusually wise. Lots of people go to him to advice – from peasants to Emperors. You can find out more about Nasruddin HERE and there is a lovely book of his tales HERE. Remember to join us over on Patreon. You also get early access, AD FREE episodes, bonus content, videos and birthday shout outs!! So hop on over and help to support us. Lost Stories - The Wisdom of Platypus

Hey story lovers! While you’re waiting for the next new story, we’ve decided to look back into the archives at some stories that got a bit lost for a while. Every other week, we will be giving these episodes a spot light and calling them 'the lost stories'. Our story is a very very old tale from the Australian Aboriginal people. They do not have a written down language, so their wisdom is passed down through word of mouth, symbols and beautiful art work. Aboriginal people of Australia believe that the Dreamtime was way back, in the very beginning of time. Everything was created by ancestor spirits. They made the rivers, streams, water holes hills, rocks, plants and animals. They believe the earth is sacred, and should be honoured and protected. You can learn more about their culture, religion, landscape and animals HERE Remember to join us over on Patreon. You also get early access, bonus content, videos and birthday shout outs!! So hop on over and help to support us.  We really want to keep the podcast going, but we can’t do it without your help!!!
