    Episode two of the second season of Here Comes A Thought is here!! The Crew examines Love Letters and Reformed. The first revolves around Jamie and his infatuation with Garnet. Kat and Gian discuss boundaries and the importance of language in written communication. This language topic is carried over to the next episode where Kat and Marc discuss the difference between reformed and REformed and how the different pronunciations have different meanings. These meanings are then used to examine Amethyst as she confronts her own psyche through the Crying Breakfast Friends Quiz!     Disclosure Joyride

    The crew is back for Season 2!We discuss Full Disclosure and Joyride. Two episodes all about how Steven copes with the trauma of last season’s finale. We talk about the value of situational awareness and developing appropriate coping skills. Kat praises Greg for having a structured emotional regulation plan in place although ultimately it wasn’t fully well executed. Marc talks about Steven’s character growth as his sense of community and responsibility begins to blossom. Gian analyses the relationship Steven has with the Cool kids and how it reflects Steven’s relationship with the Crystal Gems.     JailBreak Returns

    SEASON 1 FINALE!!!!!!! The Crystal Gems are again treating Steven like a child, and even Pearl has gotten Greg involved; attempting to get Greg to take Steven out of Beach City to safety. When Pearl and Greg are unable to talk to Steve and tell them why they want him to leave, they turn to Amethyst, who can’t either. Garnett is the only one who can talk to Steven and tell him he needs to protect the humans because that’s what the crystal gems are for. This episode introduces a lot of trauma and trauma response. The Crystal Gems and Lapis Lazuli also have to deal with their own fears during these episodes. WAIT GARNETT IS A FUSION!!!!!!! LOVE IS LOVE!!!!     Political Message

    Greg and Steven start creating music about Lapis Lazuli when the wailing stone starts WAILING, which freaks everyone out. At first, Greg feels he shouldn’t get involved but Steven believes this is a problem he can solve. We all have that one person we want to impress for Greg it’s the Crystal Gems. Greg has messed up in the past and wants to help them now so that he can prove that he is not a constant screw up. When is it better to tell the truth about something big that is happening versus lying to protect someone from being scared of the unknown. Steven sees the difference from both points of view in political power.     Marc is out this week, and Gian and Kat take the wheel. In a non-Canon episode…Steven learns how to use his powers and where he gets his powers from. Gian and Kat debate the feminist definition of Steven’s maternal instincts. Also, how do Greg and Rose meet? What do they have in common that attracts them to each other? The episode shows how Greg has been used in his life and shows how he wants to explore the universe.     The Open Shirt Club

    Steven is unable to admit to Connie that he has a different opinion than she does about their favorite book series. Instead of being confident Steven relies on the magic of Rose’s room to give Connie the ending she wants. Steven wants to help his dad sell guitar lessons and creates a poster, Sour Cream makes the poster a tee-shirt instead and helping Greg it makes him a laughing stock.     Roses Madness

    Sometimes fear keeps up trapped keeps us unable to try new things it keeps us stuck in the past and unwilling to change. The Crystal Gem’s fear of Homeworld keeps them battling marbles on a consistent basis always on the defense. What happens when they finally listen to Steven? Our perception of where we stand in someone else’s life is skewed by our own self-importance; Pearl feels that she knows all of Rose’s secrets and due to this in finding out that Rose kept secrets from her feels that she has lost part of her own identity. How can Steven help and what was this secret?     Why are they not setting their marshmallows on fire??? Steven gets gifted with future vision and sees several outcomes of procrastinating and hanging out with Connie. Steven learns that sometimes when he makes the right choice he will still get exactly what he wants. Who do you call when you need to organize your overfull garage? Amethyst!!! Both Amethyst and Greg were friends prior to the loss of Rose and display codependent tendencies in this episode. Steven maybe parentified?
