    Exploding In Praise

Here’s an image that fills me with wonder—a tidal wave of praise to the Lord which kicks off, gathers force as it circles the globe, and results in a world-wide song of praise as it cruises across all earth's time zones.

Preserved In Hard Battles & Big Macs

We spend millions of dollars, billions even, trying to preserve ourselves and other stuff. Preservation is excellent … if it’s God doing the preserving. The question is, “How do we get preserved?” I am afraid that whatever McDonald’s puts in their stuff is not going to work for me. Instead of erasing wrinkles, it grows belly fat. The Bible says: “The Lord preserves the simple; when I was brought low, he saved me.”

Standing On the Shoulders of Midgets

I’m praying that if the world is still standing a thousand generations from now my descendants will still be serving the Lord and doing His will on the earth. And I pray desperately they will have some stories about me to boost them up to where God wants them to be.

    Lightning In a Bottle

The Big Bang Theory (which I think is actually the Big Word of God reality) speculates that all existence was once compressed in a tiny thing the size of a pencil lead. For some "unknown" reason it “exploded” and in a Nanosecond the vast majority of existence was created. The incarnation of Jesus, when He came to us, was the “Big Bang” in reverse. All the fullness of God was concentrated in Jesus. All that God is, dwells in Jesus. Like lightning in a bottle!

    A Generous Mind--Battle part #4

I wonder if anything helps us enter into God's peace more than a generous mind. It chases stinginess away and fill us with God's way of thinking because the Lord is extremely generous. I'm not simply talking about money but every corner of who we are. Generous! What a life! No wonder Jesus says it's better to give than to receive because we're a stream with God's generosity flowing through us.

Win The Battle Between Your Ears--Part Two

Is the God of your mind the God of the Bible? A real key to winning the battle between your ears involves knowing what God is really like and letting those thoughts chase away false images of God. The letter to the Philippians reveals God and with this revelation we can win the battle between our ears. He's the Boss. He answers prayer. He's a humble God who does whatever it takes to get the job done. He's a God who loves us, provides for us and merits all our love and service.
