    What Men Actually Fall For

    You want to be 100% vulnerable Except that’s your nervous system telling you if you’re open, you’re gonna get mowed down. Your feminine energy is ferocious. It is powerful. It is protecting yourself in a different way than your masculine energy does. Your masculine energy protects you by closing yourself down, pushing him forward, staying mental, staying strategic. Your feminine energy goes: “I just feel. I just feel. And right now I feel…” And it’s gonna take you a while. You can see how your own voice will change, and your own speed, and your own breath will change.     Why We Don’t Trust Love (And How to Open to It Again)

    Life is a process. You are a process. You are a work in process. A work in progress. What’s progress? What’s the endpoint? There is no beginning. There is no end. I’ve been thinking about happiness. It’s really an interesting word. We take it for granted. “I’m happy.” Certain things make us happy that seem external: dancing, music, experiences, people. But try to zero in on the feeling itself when you feel happy. Often we think happiness requires something outside of us—an external experience. Yet happiness is actually an internal experience. Unfortunately, getting down into that internal experience often requires moving through layers of pain, sadness, and grief. A lot of grief. And then there’s the anger sitting on top of everything, protecting you. When you move through that, you eventually reach something deeper: Love. Maybe that’s what I should talk about. What does that baseline love feel like? It’s the feeling you have when you look at a puppy. If you don’t feel anything when you look at a puppy, you’re probably shutting something down. Puppies were practically created to look at you with those eyes and open your heart automatically. Babies are the same way. This is the kind of work we practice every day inside Siren Island—not just talking about love, happiness, and connection, but learning how to experience them more deeply in our real lives.     The Trust Test Most Women Never Give a Man

    How can you find a man who is a giver rather than a taker? A man who is masculine rather than feminine? What do you do if you have a history of being attracted to men who are in their feminine? What do you do if you’re in a long-term relationship that you’re no longer happy with and you want something different? Trust starts internally—with trusting yourself, your intuition, your ability to make decisions, your ability to make the right choices, and your ability to open up to love and be a receiver. Being a lean-back receiver of everything. Every moment of every day. When you’re on a walk. No matter who you’re taking care of. Even when you’re taking care of your child—a screaming child—you are still on the receiving end of love coming from that child, coming from the air, coming from God if you’re into God, coming from the trees if you’re not, coming from the molecules, coming from the experience of life itself. You are a receiver of energy. As soon as you get that into your being, you’ll no longer see yourself as this run-dry person constantly giving and giving and giving. You are a channel. The energy comes into your receiver, and then it comes out in love—to the child, to the dog, to yourself, to the other person. This has to be the core of everything you do from this moment on.
