If you consider to learn Chinese, this is maybe one of the best way to start with ! Lessons are pretty clear and straightforward, you choose one subject and go for it, it's very practical and convenient. The speaker is really nice, patient and encouraging. It's a real pleasure to hear him speaking, even in a foreign language (I'm French).
Let me now suggest some improvements if I may:
- It would be AWESOME if we could have more explanations about the etymology of the caracters, this would help a lot for memorizing them.
- I loved the two available videos and I'd love to watch more ! It's much more easy to memorize the words when hearing them while seeing people saying them and moving accordingly.
- In the first lessons, we could hear the voices of local people at the end of each dialogue, this was really nice ! It is indeed very interesting to hear the same sentences in a different mouth ! Would it be possible to keep on doing this in the next lessons ?
About the learning materials, having the stroke order of every caracter would be just great.
Anyway, even though I suggest a lot's of improvements, these podcasts are excellent already and I enjoy a lot listenning to them. And now am in China, every people congratulate me about my accent. Thanks a lot Serge ! And thank you for being so kind and nice in your podcasts ;)
