    Fear. The Sparrow

Is it even possible to walk away from something you love? Luckily for us Ben Hardy didn’t and brought four musicians together to form a revamped look at late 90’s, early 2000’s alt rock.  Fear. The Sparrow feels all too familiar yet all new in the way they’re bringing their brand of rock to the scene. Maybe it’s their “20’s Rock” fashion or each band members unique backgrounds coming together to form their power-pop-rock sound. Either way, it’s worth the listen or WATCH!  A quick stroll down the playlist will pull up a very unique album called The Hum: Live at the 8, which we described as a “cinematic music event”. It’s definitely worth a watch as it is a very creative take on the “rock opera” albums. We got the skinny on the subtitled song Theft of Me and what has become the fan favorite Drunk and Dumb.  Fear. The Sparrow also gives us a taste of their evolution so far with a listen of Tidal Wave and tells us that they’ve been hard at work writing and creating in the past year and plans on a “very busy 2022” with many more releases, PLUS they give us what songs help each of them tick with a very rock eclectic Top5!   Fear. Ghosty

Ghosty is a VERY tight knit band. Nayara, Charles, and Clay, have experienced a multitude of life events that have helped shaped them into a really fun group of friends that translates very well in their music.  Starting out as college friends and, through the help of a class, formed a band with a sound that they describe as “dream-pop” and your first experience with this should be their school project turned single Letters to Laurel . They talked about the experience of writing and producing while in school and how that helped propel their desire to do more. They also shared how their collabs have also helped the evolution of their sound and how Charles and Clay’s other projects have helped Ghosty stay in it’s own space. They shared 2 of their singles Honey and Chance and gave us a first for the show; an acoustic debut of their newest So Bad.  We had some fun while the birthday boy, Charles, had his acoustic out; playing some of their favorite covers that only Ghosty can pull off.  If that wasn’t enough of the music they each shared their Top5 that will have you hitting the max-volume button a lot!    Ghosty Top5 Charles: 5 Stacking Chairs - Middle Kids 4 Habanero - Rosie Tucker 3 Kingston - Faye Webster 2 Impossible Weight - Deep Sea Diver 1 Can I leave me too - the greeting committee Nayara: 5 Scarlett by Holly Humberstone 4 You Ran Out the Car - Laura Elliott 3 Ada - The Greeting Committee  2 Junior Day League - Hovvdy 1 Love in Vain - Victoria Bigelow Clay: 5 MissingNo. [177013] - Desolate 4 Get the Old Band Back Together - Christian Lee Hutson 3 Show Me How - Men I Trust 2 Really Doe - Danny Brown  1 Nocturne - Julian Lage   Check out the latest from Ghosty HERE Grab the Singles:
