    The Jungle Book

    You can take the boy out of the jungle, but you can’t take the jungle out of the boy. The Jungle Book has endearing characters, beautiful backgrounds, and catchy songs. It’s sophistication is surprising but it suffers a bit from a meandering plot. A satisfying conclusion rounds it all up, though. Hear my thoughts in this episode of Bees Knees of Disney.

    The Sword in the Stone

    All hail King Arthur! Long live the king! The Sword in the Stone starts off strong, has decent characters, and even a good premise but fumbles it with meandering segments and lack of focus.     101 Dalmatians

    99 reasons to like this movie and yes the dogs are one. 101 Dalmatians may have bored me as a kid, but I was missing out on the richness of its premise, the theme of banning together in times of crisis, and a downright thriller in the second half.     Sleeping Beauty

    This movie has classic written all over it. From its straightforward narrative, traditional character archetypes, and good vs. evil themes, Sleeping Beauty feels like a familiar storybook. But does its conventionality make it boring and dry or does a strong villain and animation and supporting characters bring it to Disney’s great heights?     Lady and the Tramp

    Dogs, dogs and more dogs. The cat person in me didn’t know what to think at first, but Disney’s love letter to dogs is sweet, fun and surprisingly emotional.     We’re off to Neverland! But do we have to go? Peter Pan is one of the most iconic Disney movies, but it doesn’t mean it’s a bonafide classic.
