Boys Dance Too spotlights male dancers working across concert dance, Broadway, commercial dance, and film/TV. While dance is for everyone, boys are often discouraged because of societal stereotypes. Through candid conversations, guests share how they forged their paths to the professional stage—offering inspiration and guidance to the next generation of dancers.     Josh Graetz

    Meet Josh Graetz (he/him), a dynamic and versatile performer, educator, and producer originally from Victoria, BC. A graduate of the prestigious Music Theatre Performance program at Sheridan College, Josh’s work spans theatre, dance and film. Now based in Vancouver, BC, he recently made a splash on the west coast as Riff in West Side Story (CTORA) and Rooster in Annie (Gateway Theatre). He is currently playing Billy Lawlor in 42nd Street (Drayton Entertainment), solidifying himself as an exciting triple-threat talent across the country.  Josh has performed coast to coast at Canada’s most celebrated companies, including the Stratford and Shaw Festivals, Grand Theatre, Drayton Entertainment, Magnus Theatre, Chemainus Theatre and the Charlottetown Festival. On film, he has appeared in features, commercials, and music videos. In addition to performing, Josh is a passionate educator and creative producer. Notably, he has choreographed and taught at Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People, the National Ballet of Canada, Confederation Centre of the Arts and Harbour Dance Centre. Currently, he co-directs Musical Theatre Mondays, a drop-in theatre jazz series in Vancouver featuring guest instructors from across Canada.  Josh is also pursuing a Master of Counselling at City University. Committed to expanding access to mental health resources for artists, he plans to integrate his extensive background in performance and education with his clinical training to support clients in achieving both personal and artistic goals.     Treyvin Kinisky

    Meet Treyvin Kinisky, a professional dancer, teacher, and choreographer in Vancouver. Trey grew up in Grand Prairie, Alberta where he excelled in the competitive dance world, including representing Canada at the World Championships.  After graduating high school, Trey relocated to Vancouver to complete the Intensive Training Program (otherwise known as ITP) at Harbour Dance Centre under the esteemed direction of Moe Brody. Since then, Trey has appeared in Nickelodeon’s Hollywood Arts, Disney’s Camp Rock 3 and Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, and Netflix’s musical series Julie and the Phantoms, as well as many other commercial dance projects. Branching out into choreography, Trey worked as the Assistant Choreographer on Netflix’s supernatural drama “The Order” and lent his creative skills to Disney Plus’ adaptation of Goosebumps. He also continues to choreograph and perform with the dance company, Quill Collective.  Trey’s artistry has also extended into the world of drag, where he has danced and choreographed for a variety of celebrated drag queens, including Canada’s Drag Race winner Venus, and Canada vs the World winner Lemon, amongst others in the vibrant drag community.     Meet Ryan Vogt, currently on tour in The Great Gatsby musical after previously appearing in the South Korea run. Previously, Ryan was in the North American tour of Means Girls. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in musical theater with a dance emphasis from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music, and was also in the Joffrey Ballet School Trainee program during his teen years. While growing up, Ryan was a competition dance kid and won top-level awards and scholarships in jazz, tap, ballet, musical theater, and hip hop.     James Monroe Števko

    Meet James Monroe Števko, an NYC-based dancer, actor, and choreographer. As an original cast member of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish, he is now a stager for the Jerome Robbins Trust, helping to keep the choreography of Jerome Robbins alive and authentic. James is also in the ballet company of the Metropolitan Opera and was formerly with the Milwaukee Ballet. His other credits include: The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Lyric Opera of Chicago, The MUNY, and other major regional theaters. Having started dance at the late age of 18, he is inspired to teach and mentor upcoming artists as a master teacher.     Meet Jonatan Luján of Ballet Vancouver, The Metropolitan Opera Ballet, and New Jersey Ballet. Originally from Mendoza, Argentina, Jonatan has danced for Slovak National Theater, Zurich Ballet, Victor Ullate Ballet, and Ballet Argentino.     Kealan McLaughlin

    Meet Kealan McLaughlin, principal ballet dancer, teacher, dance coach, fitness trainer, and choreographer. Kealan trained at Canada’s National Ballet School in Toronto before dancing professionally with Alberta Ballet and Ballet Jörgen. He later joined the Estonian National Ballet as a principal dancer. In recent seasons, Kealan has continued to work as a guest artist with companies such as Ballet Vancouver, Syracuse City Ballet, Opera Atelier, Côté Danse, and Ballet Kelowna. He spends much of his time these days focused on training and coaching dancers across Canada and internationally.     Meet David Grindrod, “one singular sensation”. Based in New York, David played Mark in A Chorus Line at New York City Center and on the national tour. Now, David helps keep A Chorus Line alive, working as an associate to Baayork Lee, an original A Chorus Line cast member. Together, they are keeping A Chorus Line going for new generations, including the staging of the recent 50th anniversary production in New York.
