S3: Episode 45: What to do when you are feeling bogged down by work!
Achieve with Me is aimed towards ambitious women who are keen to get ahead at work and want the confidence to achieve that next promotion!
In today's final season episode I reflected how it feels when you have a list as long as your arm and are losing motivation to attack it by the second...
My 6 Step Reflection Process should help you to rationalise your task list. As promised I have listed this here in the show notes so that you can refer back if it was useful:
List out all of the things that are on your mind to do
Consider which ones are important. Go through each one and ask yourself - WHY is this important? And how time sensitive it is?
Notice any patterns. Do any of these tasks stem from a particular person or department? Is it possible a change in process could reduce these in future? Is there a better way of doing any of these?
Similarly, when looking for a pattern, consider if any of these seem to always be hanging around. Is it possible there are particular tasks you avoid because you aren't confident/competent? Could getting some additional support or training help?
Reflect on if you have offered to do any of these. Could any of these have been avoided? (Be honest...)
Delegation. Could anyone else do these tasks or is it essential you do them? If so, why - and how has it become like this?

Helped me look at things differently
I often approach situations with more strategy and patience with myself at work. Some interesting concepts, not all applied to me at work but a lot was relateable
Wake up call
These podcasts are a bit of a wake up call. We stumble through our corporate journeys without recognising boundaries that are being broken and you are been driven into behaviour that is not in your nature. Great podcasts, keep it up.
Some great ideas
I love this podcast, it has given me inspiration to change the way I work for the better and to motivate myself when feeling stuck.
