Ep 9: Fenella Grey - Rediscovering the joy and purpose in leadership

In our final episode for the season, we speak to Fenella Grey who has an incredible career story. Fenella Grey is the ultimate multihyphenate, wearing many hats from business leader, start-up advisor, school governor, change agent, purpose advocate and mother.

It is a powerful episode discussing, the power of opening doors for yourself, networking, trying new things, and the role of purpose in leadership and ambition.

Fenella has been MD at Porter Novelli, the communications company built on purpose to do business better. In 2020 and 2021, Fenella stepped out of the business to focus on marrying her personal and professional purpose.

After a couple of years of entering politics, education and campaigning, as well as continuing to support business, particularly female entrepreneurs, Fen came to her epiphany - comms is the superpower to growth and positive change in the world.  She re-defined her EMEA hub leadership role and stepped right back into the agency using its power and influence to change the world for the better - for her employees, clients, community and environment.

This year, Fen’s leadership journey ‘In Pursuit of Purpose’ is being taught as a case study at Omnicom University’s Senior Management Programme by Harvard Business School professor, Nancy Koehn.
