Short

It’s good but why are your episodes so short ?

MeowMittens1 ,

A potentially interesting story that becomes lost.

This podcast is drawn out over more episodes than necessary and whilst there are moments of good journalism I was distracted by the way the story was initially set up “I didn't need to find Omar, he needed to find me” which ultimately didn’t ring true. I stuck with this until the end of final episode but was left feeling that this wasn’t the story it had been built it up to be.

Interesting story but fails to land emotional punch

The story is a hugely interesting one and well documented over a period of time. However the journalist fails to make any deep connections with the main character that leave you feeling the intended torn emotions. Mainly I feel it’s due to the journalist coming across as a little disingenuousness as has to constantly spell out how he was feeling opposed to it being present on the recordings. Note his different accent and manner on phone vs narration.
