    When Megan landed in my inbox asking if she could do my colours for me I was a little shocked, I'm definitely a 'micro' account so to be considered was amazing and of course, I just had to find out the story of how FJÓR Studio began. For anyone thinking of getting their colours done, do it. You know when you get the feeling where you just don't know what's 'you' anymore?     "Chemo makes you a shell of the person you were..." Kelly shares her story with me, and how it's changed her outlook on the world.

    Sitting down with Kelly was a real eye opener for me personally, we are the same age, and have a daughter the same age too.     I've actually known Charlene for many years(!) and watching her 'ideas' come to life has been inspiring.  She maybe doesn't have the typical 'lifestyle' most women in their 40s have. But it certainly hasn't held her back.     Committed to living in the moment. Hannah Laidler talks about life as an SMA Mummy.

    Hannah and I found each other on social media a while back, and the more I watched, the more I loved seeing how committed she was to raising awareness of SMA. Yet remaining so present where she's needed most, with her boys.  In the week prior to this podcast release, Lawson celebrated his first birthday.     "If you don't want it that much, you'll give up when things get hard." Lois, who has just recently launched her second business at 28, shares her story so far.

    I first came across Lois on Instagram not long after I'd started my own page, she was one of the first content creators I knew of to take on the wedding market, creating @thesocialyouseek and allowing couples to get all those BTS videos from their special day.  Fast forward a few years, and her business has evolved.     "Why should there be a bar in hairdressing?"... Danielle's mission to reach beyond the 'limit' hairdressers are led to believe is possible.

    I recently sat down with the lovely Danielle Polompo to learn about her journey from declaring herself homeless, to hairdressing mentor.  Danielle shared her very personal story with me, which she has given full permission for me to share. This is of course a cut down version and it goes without saying that she has been on some journey to get to where she is today.  Therapy, self development and a positive mindset, are some of the tools she's used to help create success and I can't wait to see what's to come for her in the future.  Danielle's mission is to change some of the attitudes in the hair industry and to encourage fellow hairdressers to know their worth.  Since being the little girl who was asked, "are you sure that's what you want to do?"     Sammy's business took a toll on both her physical and mental health, causing her to have a mini stroke. Here's how she overcame her business struggles.

    Once again, as a follower looking in from the outside, I had no idea what Sammy went through go get her businesses to where they are today.  Another example of how you never really know what a person has gone through until you sit down and have a conversation with them.     "You have to take action for it to work..." Nicola on fighting darkness, finding strength and inspiring change.

    TRIGGER WARNING: This episode covers suicide and mental health struggles. If that's something you'd rather not to listen to right now, please feel free to skip and come back when you're ready.  I've known Nicola for many years now, and knew when I wanted to launch my own podcast, I'd be asking her to come on as a guest. Luckily she said yes, and we sat in my garden on possibly the hottest day of summer. Nicola is a big character, with a big heart. And although her social feeds consist of inspiring and motivational posts, it goes without saying that she's had her own struggles.
