Ok, but Mike Duncan dominates the Roman podcast scene
Though this was a great idea, and the creator deserves kudos for making the effort and this is a podcast worth listening to, it is rife with inaccuracies (you didn't mention the 'four humours' in your section on medicine for example) and there was a massive pointless music interval in the first. The music was just horrible.
It's worth downloading, but you really need to bring your a game next time.
Hmmm
This podcast is great ( a part for the music half way through the first one ). It bring a different way of looking at history it really drag you in to the past and compares modern time to Rome times. It could do with some little improvement but that is me just nick picking
Me gusta
Just listened to the first episode, I find it to be more interesting than mike duncan's purely because of the parallels which are drawn from ancient Rome to both modern day and other parts of history. Thts is not to say that I dislike duncan's, I feel that they should be viewed as different types of podcasts: mike duncan's being informative and this one being more discursive. Look forward to the next episode.
