    The Quiet Sin Nobody Preaches About

    It isn't lust. It isn't pride. It isn't anger. The stronghold most of us live with is far quieter than that - and far easier to excuse.     Pride never tells the truth. It promises far more than it ever delivers. King David wanted to count his people, not for planning, but to weigh his own worth. Even Joab, hardly a model of godliness, could see it was a bad move. David pressed on anyway, and the result was loss, grief and regret.     The Temptation That Doesn't Knock: It Slips In Quietly

    Some temptations don't crash in through the front door. They slip in quietly through the back. A glance. A thought. A quiet "what if". That's how it began for David, and that's often how it begins for us. In today's five-minute devotional we look at 2 Samuel 11:2-3 and the moment David didn't look away. Desire itself isn't wrong - God gave it to us for intimacy, connection and beauty. But when we stop guarding our hearts, it turns inward and starts to twist.     The One Thing We Get Wrong About Breaking Bad Habits
