The girlies tell the stories of two historical events that were doomed from the start: the Donner Party and The Great Emu War. Monogamy Blues

    Monogamy Blues

Inspired by the culture’s latest cheating scandals, the girlies unpack monogamy as a social norm and explore what happens when we break the rules. They explore theories of mononormativity, investigate the psychological consequences of being cheated on, and try to answer a pressing question: why are we still attempting monogamy if people keep having affairs? Digressions include the NYC earthquake, kindhearted midwesterners, and one listener’s love of Hoop.

    Going, Boeing, Gone

    Going, Boeing, Gone

The girlies answer a pressing question: why is flying so awful? We used to have hotties in Pan Am uniforms serving us caviar, and now we suffer through heinous security lines to sit in seats with no legroom where the emergency exit door is not guaranteed to stay on til landing.  From the Wright Bros to TSA to climate criminals, the girlies unpack the history of all things air travel and ponder if there is a better way. Digressions include two father-related mailbox moments and a new merch drop!
The new merch collection will be available at 10am PT // 1pm ET on 3/13 at this link!

Honestly this podcast is getting me through. They are so insightful and have this approach to life that although it is hard we muddle through and really try. I feel like I have really needed this. I went through an incredibly significant breakup two months ago and it could have felt really lonely but I just listen to my parasocial pals teach me things while I potter around the flat. My phone now constantly recommends I “resume binchtopia” and it says “usually played at this time” at all hours of the day lol.
