77 episodes

Boring Books for Bedtime is a weekly bedtime story podcast for the sleepless, the stressed, the anxious, the insomniacs--anyone who struggles with the endless brain chatter that keeps us up at night.

In each episode, we calmly, quietly read something that's rather boring. Think Galileo, Aristotle, Emerson, and whoever wrote the 1897 Sears Catalog. If you're on Team Sleepless, lie back, take a deep breath, and let us read you to rest.

The Practice and Science of Drawing, by Harold Speed, Reading 1

The Practice and Science of Drawing, by Harold Speed, Reading 1

Let's rest, relax and sleep with this lovely discourse about drawing. Which is mostly about art theory for the entire hour, if I'm honest. Mr. Speed was slow to get to the actual "drawing" part.

Amazing podcast for insomniacs!

I find it really hard to find good podcasts for sleeping- they’re either too chatty, or too interesting, or about politics- and I don’t want to think about Trump or Brexit at 1am.
This podcast is PERFECT- the books are semi interesting but not so much that they keep you awake, and the reading is so soothing. Thank you Sharon! ❤️
