In each episode of Breakfast & Beyond Tia Tamblyn welcomes a guest from within the Cornish community to talk, over breakfast, about the steps they are taking within their work and home lives to embrace sustainability.
Through the series Tia's guests cover a broad range of topics from food to floristry, homewares, fashion, skincare, agriculture, wellbeing and much more. I hope the conversations within this podcast inspire positive shifts towards a more sustainable lifestyle.
Episodes are released at the end of each month taking us on a seasonal journey through the year. The breakfast Tia prepares for each guest is vegetarian, based on fantastic fresh produce sourced from within Cornwall. Tia shares recipes along with details of growers and producers with each episode, and information about her guest for those who wish to dig a little deeper into the topics discussed.

Plastic free fruit & veg with Katie & Jamie Sawday of Fruutbox
I welcome Jamie and Katie Sawday to breakfast as we discuss their journey establishing plastic-free fruit and veg box delivery service Fruutbox.
Katie set up Fruutbox, with support of her husband Jamie, to fill a gap they had noticed in their own home: sourcing plastic-free, fresh fruit and veg with an emphasis on seasonal produce, delivered with a flexible and user-friendly ordering system. It’s hugely inspiring to hear how Katie and Jamie took the issue of plastic-free food into their own hands.
Drinking ~ sustainably with Alistair Frost of Pentire Drinks
In Episode 2 I share breakfast with Frosty (Alistair Frost) founder of Pentire, a non-alcoholic botanical drinks company based in North Cornwall.
We discuss the journey of Pentire from the early days of distilling foraged coastal plants and experimenting with flavours, to the growth they have seen as a company since they were established almost two years ago, mirroring the burgeoning interest in non-alcoholic drinks.
Becca Stuart on Sustainable Floral Design
In this episode I talk with Becca Stuart - floral designer, art director and founder of The Garden Gate Flower Company. She shares her motivation for growing organically and reflecting the natural world through her designs. She discusses why collaboration with local artisans is central to her work - and speaks honestly about the vulnerability she has experienced in the past year as well as the creative opportunities that have opened up in the face of Covid-19.

Breakfast and Beyond and Pentire
This came at a great time, just before Easter - I made an order as Easter gifts for family members and they were so chuffed, and a welcome change to the alcolhol free options!!
What a positive story! So good to hear about this new business and it’s success over the last challenging year. It’s wonderful to have a local delivery service offering such a variety of fresh produce in a sustainable way and at a fair price. Congrats to Jamie and Katie!
What a delight to listen to Tia and Frosty having breakfast together. A warm engaging listen, with tips about food, drinks and sustainable life.. I felt I was there too, enjoying breakfast in the pig house.
