Six Days, $485K Found: Inside the Badasserie LIVE Reset

We just spent six days in Bangkok with 5 women entrepreneurs — and by the end of it, one of them had uncovered a $485,000 opportunity hiding inside a business she thought she already knew inside and out. That's the Badasserie LIVE Reset: our curated, six-day business retreat built for entrepreneurs who are done working IN their business and ready to finally work ON it. This isn't a “we held a retreat and it was awesome” episode. We're pulling back the curtain on the real breakthroughs, the money decisions, and the moments that made us go, “holy crap.”In this episode, we walk you through what actually happened when we took a room full of six-figure-to-seven-figure women entrepreneurs and forced them to stop talking about their business and start rebuilding it, live, on paper, in real time.In this episode:• Why every business — solopreneur to seven figures — runs on the same core pillars (marketing, systems, foundations, goals), which is exactly why one curated container can transform wildly different businesses at once• The $485,000 revenue opportunity one entrepreneur didn't even know to look for, until she did• How another participant built a simple system to re-engage 2,500 dormant leads into a real, six-figure pipeline• The outstanding invoices collected the moment someone finally stopped avoiding the hard conversation• Our “done list, not a to-do list” philosophy — why nothing leaves the room unimplemented• The 6-week WhatsApp accountability structure built into every 90-day plan, and why the real transformation happens after the retreat ends• What it actually looks like — bonding, breakthroughs, and a little sass — when 10 women stop being nice and start being real about their businesses"We didn't take people away from their jobs for six days to just have cocktails and a fun time — though we did that too. We took them away to actually change their businesses."Who this episode is for: any entrepreneur who knows something is off in her business but hasn't found the time, or the outside perspective, to fix it.Ready to see what six focused days could do for your business? Building While You're Still Figuring It Out

Here's the truth nobody wants to admit out loud: you can build a badass business while you're still figuring it out. Not despite it. Alongside it. In this episode, we tackle one of the biggest myths in entrepreneurship: that you need a perfect plan before you're allowed to move, and we tell you exactly what you actually need to know before you take the next step.We get into why experiential learning beats academic learning every time in business (yes, even with an MBA in the room), why clarity almost always comes after action instead of before it, and how to tell the difference between a legitimate pause and a comfortable excuse. We share the moments in our own businesses where perfectionism cost us real opportunities, the difference between quitting and making a smart business decision, and why sunk cost thinking will keep you throwing good money after bad. This episode is for the entrepreneur who feels like they're building the plane while flying it. We'll tell you why that's not a red flag, it's the job, and how to build enough clarity to make a smart decision without waiting for a certainty that's never coming.Key Takeaways● Clarity comes after action, not before it. Waiting for the perfect plan is often just a well-dressed excuse to stay comfortable.● Experiential learning teaches what no textbook or MBA program can. We've both lived it, and we've both bootstrapped because of it.● There's a real difference between quitting and making a smart, calculated business decision to stop the bleeding.● Participation over perfection, then progress over perfection. Movement matters more than getting it exactly right.● You don't need the whole path mapped out. You need enough clarity to make one smart decision at a time, and the willingness to adjust when you're wrong.● Perfectionism and ego are opportunity killers. The businesses that grow are the ones willing to stay in the arena, mess up, and keep going.Notable Moments● The nonprofit workshop story: a room full of brilliant, degree-holding professionals who still needed experiential learning to find revenue their degrees never taught them.● “You can build the freaking thing while you're trying to figure out what the freaking thing is.”● The first-car-at-17 analogy on knowing exactly when to cut your losses.Make sure to subscribe to our YouTube or Spotify and leave us a review!● Like the show? The Questions We'd Never Asked Each Other

Five years. Two hundred episode drops. Zero scripts today. We built The Pursuit of Badasserie one imperfect, unscripted conversation at a time — no plan, no polish, just two women figuring it out in real time. For episode 200, we didn't do a highlight reel. We did something scarier: we interviewed each other blind. Neither of us knew what the other would ask. No prep, no safety net — just five years of partnership laid bare. In this episode, we get into: ● What we each respect about how the other runs their half of the business — and the misunderstanding that almost got in the way early on ● The "one-hit wonder" project we chased just because we said we would, and the program we shelved because it was the right idea at the wrong time ● The one decision in our growth strategy we still disagree on, and why we're both right ● What people get completely wrong about our partnership, including the assumption that we agree on everything ● The fear about this business neither of us had said out loud until now ● Whether we're building at the size we're actually capable of, or playing smaller than we should ● What changed in us, individually and together, over four and a half years — and why it was worth every late night This isn't a highlight reel. It's the real accounting of what it takes to build something with another person for half a decade and still want to do it again. If you've ever wondered what an honest business partnership actually sounds like — the friction, the trust, the parts nobody puts on a vision board — this is it. We're not slowing down. Season five starts now. Listen to Episode 200 of The Pursuit of Badasserie wherever you get your podcasts. Make sure to subscribe to our YouTube or Spotify and leave us a review! ● Like the show? Stop Coaching Your Business, Start Operating It

We didn’t set out to blow up the Badass Amplifier. We set out to fix what was broken — and what we found is that most entrepreneurs don’t need another cheerleader asking how they feel about their five-year plan. They need a system that tells them exactly what to build, when to build it, and how to get there. In this episode, we pull back the curtain on why we walked away from traditional “coaching” and rebuilt the Badass Amplifier as a full Business Operating System (BOS). If you’ve ever felt like the most overworked, underpaid employee in a company you own, this one’s for you. WHAT WE COVER ● Why we’ve never really been “coaches” — and why that distinction matters for your bottom line ● The problem with reactive entrepreneurship: revenue drops, team turnover, and the panic-and-patch cycle that keeps you stuck ● “Structure creates freedom” — the principle we’ve repeated on nearly a third of our 200 episodes, and why we mean it more than ever ● How the BOS pillars work: one hyper-focused business area each month, so you build real depth instead of surface-level fixes ● The learn → implement → get feedback → refine cycle that turns knowledge into resultsWhat it actually means to step into “CEO mode” (and why we’re working on trademarking it) ● How a proactive system helps you plan for predictable moments — like Black Friday — instead of reacting in a panic ● Why we’re exploring licensing the BOS methodology to vetted consultants and coaches The bottom line: you didn’t become an entrepreneur to stay the most overworked, underpaid employee in your own business. A real operating system gives you the structure to think, build, and lead like the CEO you already are. Ready to build your own Business Operating System? 7 Pieces of Business Advice We No Longer Believe

We're willing to change our minds — sometimes on a whim, sometimes after years of evidence. In this episode, we're doing both. We're taking seven pieces of advice we used to believe wholeheartedly and telling you exactly why we've outgrown them.None of this advice was wrong for its moment. It's just incomplete — and business advice that doesn't evolve with you eventually starts working against you.The 7 beliefs we're retiring — and what we believe instead:1. "Work harder." → Hard work isn't a strategy, it's a multiplier — it multiplies whatever system you point it at, good or bad. We want you clever, focused, and effective, not just busy.2. "Follow your passion." → Passion doesn't create profit. Profit creates the freedom to be passionate. People don't buy your passion — they buy solutions, outcomes, and transformation.3. "Have a five-year plan." → Have a five-year vision instead, backed by an agile 6–12 month plan. A rigid five-year plan meets real life and loses every time.4. "Say yes to every opportunity." → Every yes is an invisible no to a hundred other things. Discernment beats hustle.5. "Work-life balance." → Balance doesn't exist — harmony does. Everything affects everything; treating business and personal life as separate rooms is a myth we've both let go of, in our own ways.6. "Failure is not an option." → Failure is one of the fastest, truest teachers we have. Fail fast, fail forward, and move on quicker.7. "The customer is always right." → They always deserve to be heard. They're not always right — and they don't always know what they need. That's exactly why they hired you. Also in this episode: a real story about grief bleeding into business, why "airing your grievances" online isn't the same as healthy transparency, and an open question we're taking into Part 2 — what's one thing we still disagree on?We want to hear from you: What's a piece of advice you used to believe and don't anymore? The Entrepreneurs We Can't Help (And Why That's a Good Thing)

Every entrepreneur deserves respect. Not every entrepreneur is ready for change — and that distinction is the whole episode. We're pulling back the curtain on something we don't usually say out loud: the entrepreneurs we can't help, and the ones we won't. This isn't about who's smart enough, talented enough, or passionate enough to build a business. It's about who is actually willing to confront reality, take ownership, and make different decisions. Perfect business owners don't exist — we don't need perfect, we need coachable. In this episode, we cover: ● The coachability test. Being coachable isn't about doing whatever we say — it's about being willing to think differently, challenge assumptions, and make an intentional decision either way. The worst outcome isn't disagreement. It's making no decision at all. ● Disagreeing vs. arguing. There's a real difference between "that's not going to work" and "what would have to happen for that to work?" One is a conversation. The other is a wall. ● The behavior trap. Systems and strategy can't outrun bad behavior or a fixed mindset. You can build a business on shaky ground and it will eventually find every fault line.● Victim mode vs. ego. The two opposite ends of the same problem — one can't see past their own story, the other can't see past their own certainty. Neither can see where change needs to happen.● A confession. Yes, we've taken clients we shouldn't have — including in the early, money-motivated days. We talk candidly about who they were, what it cost us, and what we do differently now. ● Your business is a mirror. Team issues are tolerated behavior. Sales issues are avoided conversations. Time issues are things you haven't delegated. Burnout is a boundary you refused to set. Your business isn't punishing you — it's giving you feedback. ● The real takeaway: success isn't about whether you're good at business. It's about whether you're willing to tell yourself the truth about it — and about your part in it. 6 Tips for Being a Successful Entrepreneur — The Ones Nobody Says Out Loud

We didn't set out to jump on a trending topic — but when we saw "entrepreneurial principles" taking over TikTok, we couldn't resist weighing in. Not with hustle-culture platitudes, not with a secret hack, but with what we've actually lived: over 55 years of combined entrepreneurship across continents, industries, and business models, from brick-and-mortar to fully virtual. In this episode, we break down the six non-negotiables we see separate the entrepreneurs who build something lasting from the ones who stay busy in the wrong direction. This is a mission briefing for anyone ready to stop spinning their wheels and start building a business — and a legacy — that doesn't depend on burning themselves out.In this episode, we cover:● Clarity before action. Why "working hard" without clarity just means getting better at getting worse — and the litmus test we use to know if an action is actually moving the business forward.● Discipline over motivation. Motivation shows up maybe 20% of the time. We talk about what it actually takes to do the work on the days it doesn't — and how to spot when you're "busy" but not disciplined.● Radical ownership. Our take on "no excuses, only solutions," why leaders solve problems instead of assigning blame, and how ownership (not blame) is where real entrepreneurial growth starts.● Systems over bottlenecks. If your business can't run without you in it, it's not a business — it's a job with worse hours. We talk about why systems and delegation aren't "someday" tasks.● Deciding faster. Why indecision is one of the most expensive things in business, and how the businesses that win are usually the ones that decided — and adjusted — faster than everyone else.● Playing the long game. Reputation, relationships, and integrity compound the same way debt or interest does. We share why the slower, trust-built win always beats the quick one. This conversation also marks a milestone for us — we're closing in on 200 episodes together, five years into this podcast, and this episode is a bit of a checkpoint on everything that's carried us here.We want to hear from you: which of these six principles comes easiest to you right now, and which one do you need to work on? Failure Is Just a Spreadsheet: How to Turn a Flopped Launch Into Your Best Strategy

If your launch flopped, your campaign tanked, or your offer sat in silence — first, welcome to entrepreneurship. Second, we need you to do something radical: don't feel anything about it yet. In this episode, we're reframing failure from a personal verdict into a spreadsheet — because that's exactly what it is. A failed launch isn't a sign you're not cut out for this. It's data. And the difference between entrepreneurs who grow and those who quit is what they do with that data. We're not here to coddle you. We're here to arm you with the framework to turn every failure into your most powerful intel. What You'll Hear in This Episode First, we tackle the emotional spiral — because yes, it's real and yes, we've both been there. When you pour yourself into your business and something falls flat, the emotional hijack is immediate. You skip right over the analysis and land directly on "I was never meant to do this." We're calling that out. Your feelings are valid. They exist. They're real. But they are not strategic. Give yourself 24 hours to feel it — and then it's time for the postmortem. Because here's what we know after a combined 50+ years in business: failure is almost never about you. It's almost always about one of four things — Offer, Messaging, Traffic, or Timing. That's it. Find which one broke, and you have your next move. We also cover: ● Why you must separate your identity from your outcomes before this framework can work for you ● The "autopsy vs. funeral" distinction — you're not burying the idea, you're dissecting it ● A real example from a Badass Amplifier client whose community event flopped because there was no accountability structure — and what she did next ● Why Lynn and Amanda did a full postmortem on their own recent masterclass and the moves they're making because of it ● The three postmortem questions that turn "it didn't work" into "here's exactly what I'm testing next"The Postmortem Framework Question 1: What was the actual hypothesis? What did you believe would make this work? Was that assumption realistic, or was it hope disguised as strategy? Question 2: Where in the funnel did it break? ● Attention problem — nobody saw it ● Interest problem — they saw it but didn't engage ● Conversion problem — they engaged but didn't buy ● Fulfillment problem — they bought but the delivery fell short Naming the specific stage turns a vague "it failed" into something you can actually fix. Question 3: What's the one thing you'd test differently — and what's stopping you from testing it now? This is where you shift from looking backward to building forward. Surface the real obstacle: was it strategy? Was it fear? Was it timing? Key Takeaways ● Failure is not a referendum on your worth. It's a spreadsheet. ● Separate your identity from your outcomes before you try to analyze anything ● Give yourself 24 hours to feel it — then it's postmortem time, not a funeral ● Failed launches almost always come down to Offer, Messaging, Traffic, or Timing — not you ● Failing forward is a muscle. The more you train it, the faster you grow. Your Challenge This Week Take a past failure — a launch, a campaign, a collaboration that didn't land — and run the postmortem. Answer the three questions. What was your hypothesis? Where did the funnel break? What are you testing differently? Drop your answers in the comments.
