#137+ God Told Me To Be A Cessationist

Cooper and Cary have extended words about whether or not certain gifts (ie healing, speaking in tongues, words of prophecy) are given to believers today.

Cooper and Cary have words with Rhys Laverty about Classical Christian Education. Why is it becoming more and more popular? Why would we want to teach our kids Latin? And why are Christians taking an educational lead from - of all people -  THE ROMANS?

    #135 Cooper & Cary (They/Them) Have Words

James and Barry have words about using a person's preferred pronouns. Is it the right, loving thing to use them? Our hosts do actually have words (well, mild disagreement - they are British) about whether it's ok to use a feminine name for someone who is biologically/genetically male.

This is the extended version of a shorter episode that won't be released until September 8th, 2022. But C&C+ subscribers get to hear it in advance.

    Don't Panic!

    Don't Panic!

Here's a previously unreleased episode of Cooper And Cary Have Words. We didn't release it for two reasons. One is that we did a four-way chat with Nate Morgan Locke and Glen Scrivener which seemed really current and ended up superceding this episode. And secondly, tonally, we weren't sure if - between recording the episode and it being heard - the mood of the world and our listeners had changed. But we feel that on C&C+, we're among friends and hopefully you'll give us the benefit of the doubt.

One of my favourite podcasts, entertaining, engaging and thought provoking look at a variety of issues.

Always interesting and provocative

I have been listening to this Podcast since it’s start and it is - and always has been! - one of my favourites. The ‘words’ are accessible without being trivial or patronising (huzzah!), and Cooper and Cary are actually quite funny too. They’ve cut out a lovely little niche for themselves in the genre.
