I’ve been a fan of Seeing Red for a years (where I heard about Dead Famous) so I knew because it included Mark that Dead Famous was going to be great just based on the host alone. But it is absolutely incredible, it’s so unique and gripping and educational and everything in between. The way mark speaks is so eloquent and professional whilst having this genuine empathic and honest tone to his voice. You just know he cares about these cases and cares about telling their stories to ensure others know about the lives of these individuals. He doesn’t make them sound like victims, he tells a story of them as people - the raw and honest reality of their lives that made them, them. I usually zone out of podcasts but I’ve found myself with this one stopping everything I’m doing to ensure I’m listening to every word, capturing every moment and envisioning every life as if it’s my own.
If you want a podcast that takes you into the story and makes you think about the individuals long after the podcast has finished - then do not hesitate to listen.
