    Geraldine Leyden went from living in complete darkness, fear and anxiety through alcoholism to sharing her experiences with the world through sobriety. On social media, she is known to many as Serenity Ten. Her name is inspired by the Serenity Prayer. She was born on the 10th of the 10th, lives in house number 10, and marks her sobriety anniversary on the 10th of April 2014. As the founder of The Monday Club, she has created a community for women to support each other through life’s struggles—whether they’re young mothers, individuals living alone, or those simply feeling a bit lost.  She also recently published Capture Your Monday, a collection of 52 motivational reflections to help readers kick off each week on a positive note. In this episode, Geraldine opens up about the early days of recognising her drinking as a problem, the pivotal moment when she knew something had to change, and the organisations that played a huge part in her journey to sobriety.  She reflects on how sobriety has changed her as a person, how she’s worked to repair relationships impacted by her journey, and the advice she offers to others struggling with addiction.
