183: Robin Daly - Yes To Life
Robin Daly
Robin Daly is the Founder and Chairman of Yes to Life, the UK’s Integrative Cancer Care Charity. Robin founded the charity Yes to Life in response to the immense difficulties he faced in finding authentic, appropriate and available complementary and lifestyle treatments for his daughter Bryony, when she was facing cancer for the third time, aged twenty-two.
Cancer is one of the most complex conditions and is fraught with contradictions and disagreements in even the most fundamental areas, such as causes and mechanisms. In order to make intelligent decisions, one has to become a minor expert and in this field that is a very tall order. Then, even when you find approaches that may help you with your particular cancer, at your particular stage, as well as a practitioner who offers them in a location you are able to reach, there is still the matter of paying for what is uniformly private medicine.
So essentially people need help – they need help in finding a shortcut to the most promising avenues and some need help with funding. Above all, they needed a positive, supportive response to their difficulties. What was needed was a charity with no agenda other than to help people to build their own integrative programme – using the best on offer from both orthodox medicine and a broad range of other approaches – and then to support them in implementing it. So Robin established Yes to Life in 2005 as the first charity offering direct support to anyone with cancer in the UK looking for ways to help their own recovery.

Bio:
I live on a dairy farm in the western part of Sweden together with my husband and children. I am passionate about teaching about good food and the way we produce it. Meat is not a burden to our planet!
I have a lot of experience working with children and parents related to sugar addiction and have been working in the field since 2010.
I have a recovery story of my own and as I started my journey in 2006, my children were small, which made me do all the research on children and sugar, food, parenting and recovery that ended up with me writing the book. (The book is only avaliable in Swedish, so far) My children were born in 2002, 2004 and 2009 and only the youngest still lives at home.
I have a firsthand knowledge of how a LCHF and keto lifestyle can cure deep depression and how removing sugar, flour, sweeteners and carbs can make your spirit soar and your body and brain healthy, functioning, strong and thriving on your right fuel mix!
I have experience from guiding approximately 400 clients with making Food Plans, Biochemical Repair, Relapse Prevention, Recovery plans and Motivational sessions.

Great podcast , listening to lots of very humble experts in tge field of keto and low carb .
Episode 155 Colon Cancer
I really needed to listen to this as recently diagnosed with endometrial cancer & soon to start radiotherapy after my hysterectomy it’s given me lots to think about!
Really interesting, fun and easy to listen to.
It’s been wonderfully refreshing listening to each episode and hearing Jackie and Louise talk about important issues with passionate guests. The podcast feels comfortable and inclusive and the general atmosphere is very enjoyable. I’ve recently started my Keto journey and the Fabulously Keto podcast has been a great help. There’s a great balance between banter and discussing serious matters such as Covid-19, healthy living and many more. In addition, it’s a refreshing switch up from many other Keto podcasts and I can honestly say I learn something new every time I listen. Can’t wait for the next episode!
