#12 - Mark Herbert, producer of This Is England. Co-CEO of Warp Films

Mark Herbert has created many of the landmark British movies and TV shows of the last 20 years. Long time collaborator with This is England and The Virtues director Shane Meadows and leading lights like Chris Morris, he's a genuine hero of mine.

As co-CEO of legendary independent film makers Warp Films, father to 3 kids, 2 of which are adopted, 1 of which is disabled; he describes his life and mental health struggles in total matter of factness - yet it's all fascinating and inspiring.

This podcast with Mark is just about as FRAHM as it gets, and is a great listen. Thank you so much Mark. This confirms, yet again, that life is indeed beautiful, fascinating and tough - and that there are kind, fragile, strong and ambitious men we can look up to.

#11 - Nick Hussey, FRAHM founder - How I design & make our jackets

If you're think about owning one of jackets or are interested in how on earth you go about creating great jackets, this will be fascinating to you.

Instead of our usual chat/interview, FRAHM founder and jacket designer Nick describes with openness and detail how he goes about designing our jackets.

What they're designed to do, why, what they're made with, how and why he choose that fabric, that zip or button. Why that detail or not that feature? What's our moral standpoint? What's next?

Enjoy and please do always ASK ANYTHING. Nick is the guy who answers Live Chat, Instagram comments, Email, Twitter and comments here. No BS answers. https://frahmjacket.com/

If you want to learn about menswear design, know the inside of the clothing industry, what's best in menswear and how it's made, listen in to a special podcast.

If you're into menswear and men's style, then chances are you'll have come across 'Well Dressed Dad' Nick, or certainly his influence. He's not a fashion man; rather that sort of unpretentious, rugged, classic men's style expert.

Nick is the real deal. His knowledge and passion is huge. He doesn't promote for cash, so he's independent. He doesn't hold back with his enthusiasm or criticism. He's also a really nice and a darkly dry humoured bloke.

For all these reasons and more we're very honoured, first that Nick likes our gear, then especially because he agreed to meet our Nick and do his first ever podcast with us. Enjoy.

#9 - Simon Middleton - Kind clothing entrepreneur, brand consultant, speaker, dad

If you're interested in Good Business, starting your own company and the thought behind making the stuff we wear, listen in...

Simon is a chap I came across via LinkedIn (booo) and we immediately hit it off. He's a respected brand consultant and serial clothing entrepreneur. He's taken a kicking and done very well. Life!

We chatted very unguardedly about making clothes, real life branding, good marketing, fatherhood, politics (nicely) and his recent re-marriage. Exactly the kind of open chat we're after.

#8 - Tom Southam - Writer, ex pro cyclist, dad to be, pro cycling team manager, independent thinker.

I collared Tom at Frome Independent Market in Somerset. We've been talking, agreeing and disagreeing on social media for years. I really love the way he writes differently about cycling and beyond. He's very much his own person - Tom seems to have a clear idea of who he is and what he stands for, in a humble way.

These are great ingredients for a good chat - in fact it's our longest FRAHM Podcast. Pro cycling is a constant thread, but this is very much a recording about that uses cycling to talk about life, regret, the ability (or not these days) to make mistakes and lots more besides.

He is Sports Director of top tier cycling team EF Education First. They're very cool, yet accessible and kind, like Tom: https://www.efprocycling.com/

    Enjoy, Nick.

Welcome back after a 7 month hiatus of doing Other Stuff. Thanks for waiting!

Jim is the founder of environment focussed investors http://takkcap.co.uk/ I 'met' him when he pointed out a typo on a product description on FRAHM's website! He'd bought a FRAHM Harrington Jacket, we got chatting, had a laugh, made a podcast. Ta daaa.

This is an episode for anyone interested in business philosophy and growth, the realities of being an entrepreneur and have a really good think. I don't think we found all the answers - but that's the point of conversation, it's delving further. Those complete answers may never exist.
    Enjoy, Nick.

A joy

I love the way that each episode we find out about the interviewer and the interviewee. After listening to the program I want to get out on my bike and be a better person.

Excellent podcast

Found this by accident after logging onto Road.CC, and downloaded it as I’ve been a big fan of Matt Stephens’ since he was an amateur rider. Really enjoyed listening to it, and moreover, really like what Nick is trying to achieve with this. It’s light hearted, yet thought provoking, and gives real food for thought on what makes us who we are, and what mark we want to leave on our kids and people around us.

Keep up the good work.

Not the most engaging interviewer

I think the host should stick to his jacket business!

The interview with Matt Stevens was great, but that's more ro do with Matt rather than Nick's skills as a interviewer.
