When Shag was a child, his mum would have to make two meals for dinner - one for the family, and one for him minus all the things he refused to eat. Fast forward to 2017 and like millions of adults around the world, Shag still carried these food aversions with him to every meal, including (but not limited to) eggs, nuts, cream, avocado, most seafood, olives and more.
Realising how ridiculous this was, Shag decided to do something about it. So with the help of his former co-host Peach AKA ‘The Bush Tucker Man’, he’s going to conquer these common food fears one by one, episode by episode - and prove that even the fussiest of eaters can be saved.
Episode 7 - Eggs and Mushrooms (live)
In the final episode of Fussy Eater series one recorded live at Cake Wines, Shag revisits two of his toughest challenges with guests Lee Tran Lam and Adele Cutbush.
Episode 6 - Eggs 2
Shag tries an egg salad sandwich live at a christening, and FBi Radio's Content Manager Nikki Brogan vindicates the experiment.
Episode 5 - Avocado
Shag tries avocado for the second time ever, and tries to get to the bottom of why people love guac.
Episode 4 - Raw fish
Peach tells us exactly how we'll be eating insects in the near future, and Shag discovers something surprising about sashimi.
Episode 3 - Mushrooms
Special guest Lee Tran Lam introduces Shag to mushrooms, and Shag discovers that a mushroom burger from Mary’s ≠ a regular Mary’s burger.
Episode 2 - Olives
Shag eats more olives than he’s ever eaten in his life (six) and Peach reveals whether wet or dry dog food is easier to stomach.
I have just discovered these podcasts after struggling with what to eat and how to eat new things! It’s slowly taken over my life and I get embarrassed with opening up about it but you guys have helped me realise that it’s very much possible to over-come!
Such great podcasts and definitely worth a listen!😁
