Why Muscle Matters
If you’re like many women over 40, you’ve probably noticed that it’s become a lot easier to gain a few pounds than to lose them.
The foods that you ate without care in your 20s and 30s now stick to your body like glue, adding bulk to your midsection.
Exercise that you did to lose it in your 20s just doesn’t work in your 40s and well, it is just plain frustrating.
And it seems every week you have a new injury, ache or hurt your knee, shoulder or wrist.
Strong bodies with strong muscles and joints with help prevent disease and falls.
It is scientifically proven that women who strength train over 40 just twice a week are 19% less likely to die from ANY cause than those that do not and 30% less likely to die from heart disease, cancer, stroke or suffer from diabetes or Alzheimers.
And when you focus on building lean muscle you are less likely to break bones, especially hips, if you fall.
