ElizabethUK ,

Always excellent

I have read some of Professor Mecham’s books( plan on reading them all) and listen to him on msnbc, podcasts, whenever there is such an opportunity. He has an intellect and a narrative style that speaks to so many who are interested in American history as well as basic human nature and he does it with clarity and humour.

First rate.

Ashamed to say that my grasp of history in school was tenuous. If Jon Meacham had been teaching the class I would have an understanding. Fortunately the ignorance has also gifted a hunger which JM is uniquely qualified to sustain.
