Great podcast !
I’ve listened to every one of these and they are just great. Fantastic insights into modern self build techniques with a focus on sustainability. Ben is great at interviewing an amazing variety of people and I never miss an episode. I’ve learned loads about passiv haus and air tightness and why it all matters. We didn’t end up doing a self build in the end .... but we will one day and I will be much wiser and more prepared having listened to these podcasts. So glad that Ben eventually found a plot and finished his own passiv haus. Keep up the good work ! Scott.
Knowledge that would take too long to look for all in one place
Having wanted to self build myself for a number of years each one of these podcasts details an aspects I have always wanted to know the answered too related to a project I would like to undertake. From construction techniques to budgeting to planning and technology it’s all in here.
Stumbled across this via twitter and very impressed with the breadth and depth of topics discussed! I sincerely hope that program’s like this start to increase general awareness of what is required to build a good quality dwelling and break the monopoly that big developers have in only delivering poorly designed and constructed homes in this country!
