Melanie C, Lenny Henry, Ralf Little & Will Mellor #544

Welcome back to the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! Hey here’s a fun fact for you… did you know Flo Rida is named that because he’s from Florida?! (yeh, you’re welcome!!) We’ve had a completely normal, and very sensible week on The Chris Moyles Show… said no one ever! Chris is back from his South African Safari, so obviously chaos resumes. We welcomed the Music Propstore gang, attempted to prank Dom (he’s a tough one to crack!), and of course rolled out the big guns - Stupid Amnesty and Reverse Words. Proper highbrow stuff. And somehow amongst all that we still squeezed in three massive guests… Pop icon and friend of the show Melanie C popped in ahead of the release of her ninth studio album Sweat! With top goss on which Spice Girl tracks are her favourite and least favourite, and we even played a round of Reverse Words with her!! Sir Lenny Henry also joined us to chat about heading back on tour for the first time in 15 years - yes, FIFTEEN, and shared stories about what inspired his upcoming tour, plus a bit of Comic Relief chat too, of course!! Ralf Little and Will Mellor also burst into the studio, like two lads who’d had too much sugar. Will admitted he didn’t understand Ralf’s play (but at least he was trying to be supportive), and he confirmed he’s basically become the voice of birds on TV adverts. Meanwhile, Ralf’s off being talented and successful as the lead role in The Spy Who Came From The Cold. And as we love to spoil you, here’s some extra bits from this week… The Captain Clump songPlace names with exclamation marksChris’ new friend Bryce Enjoy! The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X! Toby Tarrant sits in with Gyles Brandreth & Graham Norton #543

Welcome back to the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! Chris was off on his holibobs this week so Toby Tarrant took the reins… and, unsurprisingly, chaos followed! Luckily for you, it’s all been captured in this very podcast! So, what nonsense did Toby and Dom get up to this time? Well… they were gobsmacked when they found out you can buy hash browns in a nightclub (Producer John you legend!) Dom couldn’t be trusted enough to play a musical instrument at school so he “played the hands”, (or the fingers?) We’re still not sure! Oh and Toby and Dom (well actually just Dom) FINALLY attempted the long awaited conga in Leicester Square. Record-breaking moment… or total flop? You’ll have to listen and find out! We were also joined by two spectacular guests, broadcaster and former MP Gyles Brandreth (who loves his rock and indie music by the way!) He spoiled us with a catalogue of magical stories, we actually could’ve spoken to him all day! Plus, legendary broadcaster Graham Norton dropped by to chat about his new TV show The Neighbourhood and look back on his remarkable career—including the wonderfully weird mix of guests who’ve graced his famous sofa. We’re still amazed he trusted Toby to take over the interviewing duties! And somehow amongst all that madness there was still time for even more… What can’t horses do?Producer Johns mystery vinylThe male Karen Enjoy! The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X! Maisie Adam, Seann Walsh & Iain Stirling #541

Who’s ready for a brand new episode of the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast? That’s handy, as this is a brand new episode of the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! It’s a bumper packed week of fun as Dom is back from his holiday and he has a very interesting story time about (possibly) the world's most expensive rug! The classics are back in full force too - Beat Of A Song and Stupid Amnesty return, alongside not one, not two, but three top-tier guests! First up, friend of the show Maisie Adam swings by for chaos, chats about Last One Laughing, her biggest tour yet, and ASDA (naturally). She also accidentally educated Chris and Dom on Gen Z slang, and you can imagine how that one went! Seann Walsh, Chris’ pal from the jungle, popped in to chat all things I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, and to Chris’ bewilderment Seann’s doing it all over again! Plus, there’s tour chat and a deeply passionate Blink-182 quiz to determine who the real superfan is: Seann or Captain?! And finally, comedian and voice over artist Iain Stirling joins us to chat about his upcoming Soho Theatre comedy special. Plus, we dig into the mystery of his sandcastle-building show… will it ever see the light of day? We hope so! You think that’s it? Think again! Jack Whitehall, Serge from Kasabian and a Seriously Unserious Survey #540

Welcome back to the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! Where we tackle life’s biggest questions, like how many pairs of pants do you wear in a day? It’s so important that Captain hit the cold, hard streets of London to get the Great British public’s verdict on the matter! Dom was off on his holibobs, but the chaos didn’t take a day off! We found out Exec producer Aaron-Alan thinks Geordies sound like owls. Yes… you heard that right, we’re confused too! We guessed MC Hammers real name and we even had a few guest appearances from friends of the show! Jack Whitehall just can’t seem to stay away from our show or our telly’s, and he’s back in another new comedy series, so naturally he came in to tell us all about it, including how he was surprised with his own childhood photos on the set, and the small matter of hosting SNL UK very soon! Radio X favourites and rock legends Kasabian are back with a brand new track and to celebrate Serge Pizzorno joined us in the studio! He spilled some behind-the-scenes secrets on writing some of their biggest hits and it’s fair to say the team were absolutely fascinated! As Dom was off, we had no letters from you lovely lot. So Captain took it upon himself to hear from you, the listener, asking the topics no one dared to touch, (and not because they’re too pointless to cover, thank you very much!) and launched The Chris Moyles Show Seriously Unserious Survey! And our Easter gift to you is…. EVEN MORE CONTENT!! Dirty PantsWeird DreamsAre Geordie’s Owls? Enjoy! The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X! Weekdays 6:30am - 10am

Ed Gamble, Noah Wyle, Phil Dunster and Miles Hunt #539

Can you figure out what Blur are saying in the first bit of Parklife? No? Great glad it’s not just us, but do let us know if you crack it because we still can’t! Welcome back to the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! It’s been an absolutely jam-packed week of chaos, questionable chat, and top-tier guests—so strap yourself in, you legends. First up, our very own Ed Gamble gate-crashed the show to talk about his brand new tour Fresh Hell, kicking off in 2027. Yes, 2027. It’s a tour SO big that odds are he’ll be performing somewhere near you at some point before the end of time. Next, a man who’s played a doctor for so long we’re starting to think he is one - Noah Wyle joined us to chat about medical drama The Pitt. Not technically qualified, but we’d probably still trust him in an emergency! Then Phil Dunster came in to chat about brand new American comedy series Rooster and even played a game of Reverse Words with us (which he’s actually a mega fan of!) and developed a slightly worrying attachment to a bell he found in the studio. After announcing The Wonder Stuff’s 40th Anniversary tour, frontman Miles Hunt joined us in the studio, and it turns out “busy” doesn’t even begin to cover it. He’s currently on a solo acoustic tour, and if that wasn’t enough, he’ll be back out later this year with both Vent414 and The Wonder Stuff! See, we told you it was a fun filled week, and we have even more for you! Captain’s secretChris + Aaron’s footy betsDom’s music review Enjoy! The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X! Weekdays 6:30am - 10am

Natalie Cassidy, Humphrey Ker and a Surprise Guest #538

Would you let Bob Mortimer give you a tattoo? Welcome back to the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! You are in for an absolutely fantastic episode (see what we did there?!) No Captain this week but fear not, the rest of the team are in peak silly form bringing you all the usual Chris Moyles show madness! This week’s fun consisted of a live review of the McGriddle, McDonald’s brand new breakfast item! A heated discussion about skipping through TV shows… turns out this is the kind of debate that tears friendships apart! Puppet chat seemed to feature quite heavily this week, especially our favourite “Sooty and Squeak”... sorry Polly! And it’s a huge moment for our Executive producer Aaron-Alan as he fires his first Content Klaxon, bringing us a surprise mystery guest who knows a thing or two about Guinness! Would you believe that we still had time for some guest appearances on top of all that too!! Natalie Cassidy popped in to talk about the best and worst money advice she has ever received, but naturally Chris and Dom got a little overexcited and things spiralled into a trip down memory lane about Natalie’s time on EastEnders. From that famous live episode, to filming days in The Queen Vic. And to wrap up the week, fuelled with excitement and adrenaline of SNL UK debut looming, actor, comedian and Wrexham F.C. Executive Director Humphrey Ker, popped in to chat all about his involvement in the show. As well as his experience working with Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber on his Christmas play Sherlock Holmes and The 12 Days of Christmas! Wow what a week we’ve had! Would you like some more?
