Social Work Radio

Thank you all very much. I am sad i ambjust finding this as i am coming to the end of my student career and i had my last placement with older adults team. See i have always been a campainer for children but this has made me want to join adult team. I have to say i am in my thirties no childre yet, never married but yea i love the work you are all doing in this podcast.

I found this podcast when it was back under its former name in lockdown when I was completing my MA in social work, and have been following it avidly for years, I found that the hosts are the perfect balance between hilarious and having a way with words but also able to tackle extremely difficult and thought provoking social work themes which really get you thinking and their passion for social work really shines though and it’s genuinely heart warming to hear that even through the struggles they both love their jobs. I love Friday mornings when the podcast comes out as it’s part of my weekly routine to listen to it whilst having my morning swim! Even listening to the little jingle at the start brings a smile to my face, Thank you both so much.

So so refreshing and affirming to listen to you, your humanity, your beautiful social work values and your banter…. I am often cringing with Tilly and appreciate the humour of Vince. Your podcasts, this one and the last one, have really helped me to stay focused on why I am a social worker and reminded me to be more determined to remember what is important…..the children and the adults around them who I’m privileged to walk alongside and support. 💕 I love my job and I’m really proud of how I can sit with people with such love, compassion and kindness which earns me the respect to be able to gently ask the difficult questions I need to which enables me to be able to truly make a difference 💕
