Great podcast, the Oklahoma bounty hunter episode is pretty extraordinary to say the least. Jeremiah is the perfect host,he lets his guests talk and always asks the right questions. One of the best cryptid podcasts out there.

You occasionally hear misunderstandings of what evolution is and how its processes work on Bigfoot podcasts. Here we get the assumption that the familiar image of human evolution as linear is accurate. It isn’t. No one with a knowledge of evolution or primatology, or genetics - no one who knows the subject - thinks it is. Evolution is better illustrated by the multiple branches of a bush. With primates, humans and chimpanzees and all other existing apes are on different branches. Track back along those branches back and you find places where they separate. Go back far enough and all modern apes have a common ancestor - a common root - but they have not evolved linearly, one after the other, as that old and inaccurate picture we all know suggests. If Bigfoot exists it is another branch, not a direct link in a single chain. The aquatic ape idea has been put forward but is not accepted as accurate.
