Was the Real Queen Charlotte Black? (Revisited)

Queen Charlotte on Bridgerton is inspired by the real-life Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Queen Consort of the United Kingdom. On Bridgerton, Charlotte is shown as a Black woman living in Regency England. There have long been rumours about Charlotte’s real-life Black ancestry. To understand this complex situation, I sat down with two experts to learn more. This podcast is brilliant! It is a nice change to have a history podcast solely about incredibly powerful and influential women in history regardless of their background or how good of a person they actually were. You are given a chance to learn about different women from different periods in time and some more or less well known than others.

I did enjoy this podcast I listened to the Mary Queen Of Scot series the story’s are very good and told in a very non boring way ( other history podcasts are extremely boring) But I did find it very biased. I know it’s a feminist podcast. But I feel there is more emphasis on hating men than just telling the story. Personally I prefer to just hear the facts and make up my own mind.
