Easter Weekend Review and Sutton United (H) Preview - A pair of draws over Easter but United remain in pole position for third place - Season 25/26, Episode 44

A pair of entertaining draws against Gateshead and Morecambe over Easter could have put a huge dent in United's hopes to finish in third place and go straight into the play-off semi-finals, but two contrasting results for Boreham Wood mean the gap only shortened by one point, and with three games left to go, that five-point gap means United remain in the best position to gain home advantage in early May. The first of those three games comes this weekend against Sutton United - a side United still haven't beaten, can they end the hoodoo against the Londoners this weekend? Behind Enemy Lines - Morecambe (A) - Season 25/26, Episode 43

Something a little bit different this Easter Weekend - a bonus episode! Instead of packaging our usual "Behind Enemy Lines" chat with an opposition fan into the main episode, we've done it as an extended stand alone, and it's a really good one (if I do say so myself!). This week, we're chatting with Dave Salmon, Morecambe FC commentator for Beyond Radio and a fan of the Shrimps for more years than he cares to remember! Plenty discussed with Dave ahead of the bank holiday clash, including whether the appointment of Jim Bentley came too late to give them a decent chance of survival, their slap-dash transfer approach this season and some of the links between the two teams in each squad. Braintree Town (A) Review and Easter Weekend Preview - Third win in a row secures play-off place for the Blues - Season 25/26, Episode 42

While it certainly wasn't a classic, United's 2-1 win at Braintree Town does mean that they will now officially extend their season into the play-offs - and with Boreham Wood only drawing at Truro, third place is looking more secure than ever. With a top 7 finish now guaranteed, it's all steam ahead for that route straight into the play-off semi-finals, starting this weekend with a double-header against two of this season's strugglers, Gateshead and Morecambe - although one of them is in a fair bit better form than the other right now. No Behind Enemy Lines this week, because you're getting it as a bonus stand alone episode on Sunday instead, as we catch up with Morecambe FC commentator Dave Salmon.
