#285 Part 2 Education vs Embodiment: Nervous System Leadership and Coming Home to Yourself with Lucie from Socially Constructed

Money doesn't create character, it amplifies it. In part two of this conversation, we pick up right where we left off with Lucienne Miller from Socially Constructed, going deeper into embodiment, nervous system safety and what true wealth actually means once you stop measuring it in dollars alone. Lucie shares her own path from severe postnatal illness and OCD to building a career in brain friendly leadership, trauma informed workplace design and positive psychology, shaped in no small part by raising four kids as a military family who move around the world. Together we unpack Rich Lady Rule Two, take messy but aligned action, and Rich Lady Rule Three, fulfilment first, finances follow, and why neuroplastic change needs discomfort, but never at the cost of safety. This is the difference between being stretched and being flooded, and why co-regulation, in a community, in a retreat room, in a conversation like this one, is what makes the stretch survivable. This is what we call Self Belief and Support in action. Redefining rich was never about choosing between profit and peace, it was always about having both. #284 Part 1 Education vs Embodiment: Nervous System Leadership and Coming Home to Yourself with Lucie from Socially Constructed (Part 1)

We've all done the seminars, read the books, and nodded along to the podcasts, so why does it still feel like nothing has actually changed? In this episode of The Rich Lady Revolution, we sit down with Lucie from Socially Constructed, who works with corporates, militaries and major firms on regenerative leadership, wellbeing and nervous system science, to talk about the gap between knowing something and actually embodying it. Lucie explains why Western culture treats embodiment as unsafe, why knowledge feels so much safer than feeling, and how trauma can make the body feel like unfamiliar territory. She reminds us that sensations and emotions have to be learned and named before we can work with them, and she is refreshingly honest about the danger of quick fix nervous system claims. This is a slow, deep, soul level conversation about learning to come home to yourself, at your own pace. This one is part one of two, so keep an ear out for round two coming soon. This is the Self Belief and Spirituality Checkpoints in action, because real change was never going to happen in your head alone. Ready for more profit and peace in your own life and business? #281 Roots, Branches and the Whisper of Your Business with Marama Carmichael

Lovely lady, we're deep into season four, The Embodied Era, and today's guest is someone I connected with the moment we sat down together at Curated Circle. Kindred spirits, instantly. Meet Marama Carmichael, founder of Oracle Tree, a marketing agency that refuses to be cookie-cutter, and honestly, one of the most aligned conversations about business I've had on this podcast. The night the house burnt downMarama shares the defining moment that changed the entire trajectory of her life and business. She was running a natural therapy centre, working ridiculous hours for no money, chasing the bragging rights of an eight-room premises, when a house fire took everything she owned. Standing outside in the rain that night, she made a decision that became the seed of Oracle Tree. Having a business versus being self-employedWe get into the real difference. If you're exchanging time for money with no one else doing the work, you're self-employed, and there's nothing wrong with that. But a business runs without your constant time and input, and that transition doesn't happen by flipping a switch. It happens by trusting the right experts, with your guidance. You can outsource the expertise, but never the alignmentThis might be my favourite line from the whole conversation. Marama unpacks the difference between abdicating responsibility to an expert and staying the visionary who holds the "why" while someone else handles the "how." The whisper and the wounding, translated into marketingWe talk about how Marama's process mirrors the exact language I teach around the whisper, the wounding, and listening to what feels true in your body before you listen to what a coach or agency tells you to do. The Oracle TreeMarama walks us through her full framework. Roots as your strategy (who, what, why), the trunk as your brand (how you turn up), branches as your channels, leaves as single pieces of content, and canopy as the consistency across all of it. If you've ever wondered why hiring five different experts for five different channels leaves your business feeling disjointed, this is why. Cut off the dead branchesMarama's advice for any channel you're not actually using, stop pouring resources into it. A dead branch just hangs there and drains the tree. Go back and think about your own tree. If something feels out of alignment, ask yourself whether you've stopped listening to the whisper and started giving your power away to someone else's decisions instead of your own. 🌳 Oracle Tree - book a genuine strategy call👉 https://oracletree.com.au/apply-for-a-strategy-session/ 📱 Instagram, Facebook and other socials: @oracletree 📚 Free e-books and resources available on the Oracle Tree website under the Resources tab 📩 Sign up to the Oracle Tree newsletter for an upcoming three hour workshop on branding, AI and lead funnels 💛 The Rich Lady Revolution Membership - weekly accountability, rich conversations and a community of women who get it, from $149/month with no lock-in👉 https://www.those2sisters.au/membership

#280 Find the Bullet, Not Just the Wound with Teresa Loo

We are deep into Season 4, The Rich Lady Revolution - The Embodied Era, and today's conversation is one I've been looking forward to for a long time. My guest is Theresa Loo, The Enlightened Pharmacist, and if you've ever felt like the medical model gave you a prescription but never actually got to the root of what's wrong, this episode is going to change the way you think about your own health. Theresa is a holistic and integrative pharmacist who bridges mainstream medicine with real prevention, and she brought the receipts, the research and the heart to back it up. The medical model doesn't cure; it managesTheresa unpacks why medication so often treats the symptom while the actual cause - diet, lifestyle, inflammation- stays untouched. Her analogy of cleaning a gunshot wound but forgetting to remove the bullet is one you won't forget. The chip hugTheresa gets vulnerable about her own relationship with savoury snacks, and how health coaching taught her that reaching for chips wasn't really about the chips. We talk about why the food industry has hijacked our physiology, and why abstinence, not moderation, was the answer for her. Belly fat isn't benignWe talk about the bucket of inflammation, the hidden drivers like infection, poor sleep and stress regulation that quietly build for years before a diagnosis ever shows up, and why "I'll deal with it later" is often the moment the point of no return starts. Test, don't guessTheresa shares her own wake-up call at 50, choosing a Nutristat test over a pair of diamond earrings, and discovering heavy metal toxicity she had no idea was there. We talk about why personalised testing, not one-size-fits-all supplements, is what actually moves the needle. Perimenopause, HRT and the sandwich generationThis is the conversation so many of us needed. Theresa breaks down why cortisol, not just sex hormones, is often the missing piece in stubborn weight gain, why the health tactics that worked in your 20s and 30s stop working, and why menopause acts as an amplifier for issues that have been simmering underneath for years. The identity shift nobody prepares you forWe go beyond the physical and talk about what menopause does to a woman's sense of identity and value in a culture that doesn't honour this transition the way other cultures do. This part of the conversation is for every woman who's wondered, quietly, whether she's going crazy. She's not. How to make an informed decision, not a group-think oneTheresa's parting wisdom on HRT, weight loss medications and any big health decision: get clear on why you're attracted to that approach, what you're actually trying to solve, and weigh the risks and benefits with someone who can help you see it clearly. No amount of money is worth it if you are sick, inflamed or in pain. If you are not actively optimising your health, you are not a wealthy person, no matter what the bank balance says. 🌿 The Enlightened Pharmacist - book a complimentary 20-minute health chat to look under the hood👉 https://theenlightenedpharmacist.com/work-with-me/ 🎙️ Listen to Teresa's own podcast, The Enlightened Pharmacist, wherever you get your podcasts 💛 The Rich Lady Revolution Membership - weekly accountability, rich conversations and a community of women who get it, from $149/month with no lock-in👉 https://www.those2sisters.au/membership

#279 The Events Queen, In-Person Magic and the Elegant Exit with Jo Spehr

Lovely lady, welcome to Episode 279. We're deep into season four now, The Embodied Era, moving away from cookie-cutter courses and really asking ourselves how this all actually feels in the body. And today I brought on a woman I've been wanting to sit down with properly since the moment I felt her energy across a table at a Lux dinner. Meet Jo Spehr. She directs Empire Events, and if you've ever wondered who's behind the scenes making a room full of people feel like magic happened, it's women like Jo. She calls herself Tinkerbell crossed with a spreadsheet, and honestly, that's the most accurate job description I've ever heard. From government EA to Events QueenJo takes me through her journey, nearly two decades in admin and executive assistant roles, working on events for up to 5,000 people including the Commonwealth Games, before she finally admitted to herself which parts of her job she actually loved. We talk about the identity she had to release (coaching and breathwork) to make room for the one that was actually hers. Why AI can never recreate a roomWith the global events industry set to hit $2.5 trillion, we get into why in-person connection is becoming more valuable, not less, in a world where nobody knows what's real online anymore. Trust is harder to build through content alone, and Jo explains why getting in a room with the right people is going to be a make or break for service-based businesses. The two questions that shape every eventBefore Jo builds anything, she asks what the attendee is meant to feel and experience, and what the actual business objective is. We talk about the difference between an event that just looks good and one that's engineered for transformation and return on investment. Burnout, boundaries and self-abandonmentJo gets honest about the season she burned herself out trying to prove herself to people she looked up to, and what her body had to teach her about holding boundaries while working in an industry that runs on intense, high-emotion cycles. Selling through relationships, not marketingWe dig into why Jo's own event, Mic Drop, has grown every month, not through funnels or ad spend, but through leveraged relationships and genuine reciprocity. If you've been over-relying on marketing and under-investing in real connection, this part is for you. The elegant exitI finally get to unpack this properly with someone who gets it. The one question I ask myself before I decide whether to keep talking to someone in a room: would I invite this person to sit at my dinner table? Jo and I talk about how to leave a conversation gracefully when there's no values match, without guilt, and why women in particular were never taught how to do this. Be interested, not interestingJo's parting wisdom for anyone walking into a room feeling nervous. Stop performing and get curious about the person in front of you instead. If you're not feeling a little bit of fear walking into a room, you're probably not stepping outside your comfort zone enough. Feel it, go anyway, and notice what happens. #278 The Truth Behind Real Wealth with Brett D. Scott

We've graduated from redefining rich into the embodied era, taking everything we've learnt and actually living it in our body, our brain and our life. And to kick this season off properly, I brought a very special guest into the space. Meet Brett D. Scott. Metaphysical mindset coach, mentor, speaker, author, fellow emcee, and the man some people call Superman (fair call, honestly). Brett and I have crossed paths at more events than either of us can count, and every single time, there's been this instant, grounded, no b******t connection. So I sat him down and we just let the conversation go where it wanted to go. This episode is the result.Taking the mask off, Brett opens up about the difference between how coaches appear on stage and what's actually still being worked through behind the scenes, and why saying "I don't have my shit sorted" out loud is one of the healthiest things either of us do. The subconscious mind runs the show. We get into the numbers. Your conscious mind processes around 40 bits of information a second. Your subconscious is running somewhere between 11 and 40 million. Brett breaks down why real change has to happen below the surface, not just in the positive thinking, reframe it, 3D layer most of us stop at. Falling off the wagon isn't failure, it's the trigger I share how I flipped the "I fell off, I'm shit, I can't do it" spiral into something my clients now genuinely look forward to, because the fall became the catalyst to get back on, not proof they'd failed. Redefining rich, again Brett unpacks why he moved his business from Be Positive Mindset to Freedom Coaching to Supercharge Freedom, and why being rich was never just about the Lamborghini in his old Zoom background (though it made a cameo). We talk about wealth as a portfolio across money, relationships, self, family and purpose, not a single number in a bank account. My own rock bottom moment I go there. The gold medal that made me happy for two weeks. The corner office. The Bulimba house. The moment I turned down the move to Sydney and realised my entire identity had been built on overachieving and surface success, while I was quietly falling apart underneath it. Finding your fire, not your purpose Brett walks through the idea from Think and Grow Rich, that you need a definite purpose and a burning desire to achieve it, and why purpose isn't something you sit down and decide. It's something you build, one piece of kindling at a time, until you're standing inside a bonfire you didn't see coming. Discernment and the elegant exit Brett teaches event energetics, and shares his go-to filter for every new connection: does my body feel safe around this person, and would I invite them to sit at my kitchen table? We talk about spotting an agenda, protecting your own fire, and why not everyone gets past the b******t radar anymore, and that's a good thing.Follow your truth. There is no wrong road, even the ones that feel like it, because every road teaches you something that eventually brings you back to yourself. Connect with Brett D.
