Glamorous Trash: A Celebrity Memoir Podcast

I recently subscribed via apple and thought I’d only do one month but there’s so much great subscriber only content that makes it well worth the subscription in a way I haven’t experienced even with networks that have multiple podcasts. This podcast is a good time.

I was really loving the pod especially as I started with the Facebook centred episodes. Then I got to the Caroline Calloway ep. Maybe it’s because I know too much about the subject matter but the utter lack of knowledge on Caroline’s most disgusting moments and their obvious bias was infuriating. They did kind of give a psa saying they had some personal hangups around similar situations but that doesn’t excuse their either inability to do basic research or their lack of critique toward Calloway. Sadly it’s a common thing when it comes to white women talking about Calloway. Perhaps many of us just can’t help but see ourselves in this leech of a person.

The first podcast I have become a patron of, mainly because I loveeee Chelsea. She just seems like the exact kind of woman I would be friends with: hilarious, kind, relatable, a drag fan! What more could you want. As a Brit, I would love if she did more British books with British guests just so they can explain the idiosyncrasies a bit more (I loved the UK friend bit in the spare podcast) but apart from that no notes, I love this podcast.

I just hate to hear casual swearing… it’s put me off… even though the sound quality was good and content looked interesting… it’s just always something that jars with me.
