GIVE A HECK

Dwight Heck

For over 20 years, I lived life by accident: go to work, go home, get paid, then start it all over again the next day, stuck on a proverbial hamster wheel. Through coaching and mentorship, I learned that living life on purpose is far less stressful, and it means I'm happy more days than not. On the Give A Heck Podcast, I bring you guests who found their own way off that hamster wheel, real turning points, setbacks, and mindset shifts you can actually use. My goal is simple: show you how to "LIVE YOUR LIFE ON PURPOSE, & NOT BY ACCIDENT."

Can You Be Broke and Still Look Fine? | The Purpose Rules: Mindset, Pt. 1

CAN YOU BE BROKE AND STILL LOOK FINE? | THE PURPOSE RULES: MINDSET, PT. 1 Living paycheque to paycheque doesn't always look like a crisis. In Part 1 of The Purpose Rules: Mindset, a new three-part solo series, Dwight Heck shows what quiet desperation really looks like: the financial stress so many people carry while everything looks fine from the outside. Dwight shares one ordinary day from his years as a single dad of five, after moving to full-time custody and watching his income drop by about half. Hoping for a zero balance in the morning, juggling credit through the day, smiling and promising his kids he'd figure it out, then lying awake once the mask came off. From there, he lays out five warning signs, why people stay stuck, and one simple first step to take this week. What you will learn: What quiet desperation is, and why it is different from a financial crisis Why high earners can live in quiet desperation too What one ordinary day looked like for Dwight as a single dad of five living paycheque to paycheque Five warning signs that you may be living in quiet desperation The three reasons people stay stuck far longer than they should One simple first step you can take this week to start lifting the fog Connect with Dwight Heck: 🌐 Give A Heck Website 🎤 Podcast Page 📺 YouTube Channel 📘 Facebook 📸 Instagram 💼 LinkedIn 🎵 TikTok 🐦 Twitter / X 🎤 Work With Me / Be a Guest

RAN AWAY TO THE CIRCUS, THEN HIT BOTTOM | DAVE LETTERFLY KNODERER This alcoholism recovery story starts with a teenager who ran away to join the circus as a drummer. Dave Letterfly Knoderer joins Dwight Heck to talk about his horses, his art, hitting bottom with alcohol, and the hope he found in recovery and writing. Dave is a circus performer, liberty horse trainer, airbrush muralist, motorcycle pinstriper and author of five books. He grew up in Ohio as the son of a Lutheran minister and the younger brother of a boy nobody understood. From a comedy act with a little black mule to a seven-month route painting at Harley-Davidson dealerships, his career took many detours, and recovery changed his relationship with his father and with himself. What you will learn: How a teenager ran away to join the circus and built a creative life from drums, paint and horses What hitting bottom with alcohol looked like, and how recovery changed Dave How a moral inventory became the start of his writing and five published books How recovery turned a strained relationship with his father into a best friendship Why options are the key to happiness, and why not to give up five minutes before the miracle Connect with Dave Letterfly Knoderer: 🌐 Website 🎨 Artist Page 📚 Author Page 🎤 Speaker Page 🎁 Free Book: Hit the Road and Thrive 🎁 Free Book: Responsible RVing 📖 Amazon Author Page 📸 Instagram 📘 Facebook 💼 LinkedIn 📺 YouTube ✍️ Blog: LetterflyWrites Connect with Dwight Heck: 🌐 Give A Heck Website 🎤 Podcast Page 📺 YouTube Channel 📘 Facebook 📸 Instagram 💼 LinkedIn 🎵 TikTok 🐦 Twitter / X 🎤 Work With Me / Be a Guest
