Andy, Rob and Ryan look at Universal Soldier, specifically the Jean‑Claude Van Damme entries: the 1992 Roland Emmerich original, 1999’s The Return, and John Hyams’s 2009 Regeneration and the threat to all sufferers of epilepsy that is the acclaimed Day of Reckoning from 2012. We spoil these movies in totality, so don’t go in expecting a considered analysis of these deeply goofy and inconsistent movies. We are discussing them with a comedian after all — if we took these movies seriously here, we’d be doing it wrong.
