No Life Is Beyond the Reach of Hope: God Sees You, Loves You & Hears You with Zahara McCoy

Send us Fan Mail Each day is a choice, an opportunity to say yes to what God has for us. Some days that yes is easier than others, isn't it? We have to be resolute in our decision to follow Jesus no matter the cost. Last week we heard from Juliet Dawn and how her decision to say yes led her through a life marked by trials but ultimately brought glory to God and blessings to her. This week we hear another testimony of how one woman's yes changed the life of a young girl in another country, who was about to be sold as a child bride.  Born in the village of Mbikko, Uganda, Zahara McCoy grew up surrounded by both the warmth of community and the harsh realities of poverty. By the age of nine, she had lost both parents to HIV/AIDS and faced the very real threat of becoming a child bride, with dowry negotiations already underway. Life took an unexpected turn when a Christian family in California began sponsoring her education — an act of compassion that opened the door for Zahara to continue her studies and, eventually, move to the United States. Her early days in America were filled with wonder and discovery: she had never seen hot water flow from a tap or realised that streetlights didn’t shine from beneath the road. Through each new experience, Zahara saw evidence of God’s faithfulness and the unfolding of His purpose for her life. Today, Zahara serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Children of Grace, a Christian nonprofit working in her home region of Uganda to educate, disciple, and empower vulnerable children. Though she now lives in California with her husband and three young children, Zahara remains deeply connected to her roots — leading Children of Grace with a heart for her homeland and a vision to see every Ugandan child given the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. A wife, mother, and passionate advocate for girls’ education, Zahara speaks with grace and authenticity about faith, resilience, and God’s power to transform even the most painful beginnings. Her story is a living testimony to the truth that no life is beyond the reach of hope. Your yes impacts more than you. You're yes to God could save someone's life!  Conversation Highlights: At the end of each day we have to be okay to die to ourselves and fully surrender on the altar, saying yes to what God has for usBeing an orphan in Uganda is dangerous - they can be sold, enslaved, married off, abused, rejected, etc.A girl with an education is of great value to the community in UgandaWe may not feel like we could make a difference with a small sponsorship but it could be the lifeline to save a little boy or girl who is praying for what you can provideGod is looking for willing people who will say yes to the nudge of the Holy SpiritGod sees us, hears us and loves us infinitelyConnect with Zahara! Trials Don’t Define Your Story: The Golden Thread God Weaves in Our Lives with Juliet Dawn

Send us Fan Mail We all face trials in our lives. Sometimes they seem to just keep coming. One thing after another leads to what feels like an assault on our lives similar to the story of Job in the Bible. What do you do when you are faced with such hardships? Juliet Dawn has been through this as    well and shares how she faced it through song.  Juliet Dawn is a British singer-songwriter whose powerful voice and poignant storytelling reflects a life marked by both extraordinary pain and unshakable hope. A former X factor contestant who has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, Juliet's journey has taken her from national stages to the depths of personal heartbreak - and back again through faith and music. Her creative life began after studying at Sheffield University and working as an entertainer in Spain while her parents served as missionaries. Back in the UK, she built a family with her husband, Jason, and their three sons - Sam, Max & Leo - while continuing to perform and record. Her music career has included national tours, collaborations with well-known artist, and an X factor appearance alongside her sister-in-law.  Juliet Dawn's testimony is one that we need to all listen to. It helps us put our own stories into perspective by seeing it through the lens of Christ. Jesus makes all the difference in our stories.  Please take time and follow the link below to listen to her music. It touches your soul in a way that other songs can't. I can't suggest it enough! Share it with a friend, add it to your playlist and keep it close to your heart.  Conversation Highlights: I want to make a difference no matter what GodGoing through abuse doesn’t define youWhen one thing after the other seems to happen, we must lean into JesusTrials are temporary - they are not your permanent lotGod allows trials for reasons unknown to us, but we can trust him knowing he will use them to commission us for the KingdomBe careful what you let others speak over you, including medical professionals - speak life even when it looks like death is the only possible outcomeThe cost we pay to make a difference can at times be high, but the reward of watching God use it is pricelessThe things we learn and are gifted during the storms of life can be some of the most precious lessons in our lifeIf you don’t have the assurance of eternity, all the pursuits of life are to no availGod has threads of purpose through our lives, even the traumatic momentsConnect with Juliet Dawn! Getting Closer to Jesus: What Intimacy and Healing Looks Like with Stasi Eldredge

Send us Fan Mail Healing is never as instant or easy as we think it should be. Maybe it's our culture or just the way life seems to push us to the next thing constantly, but healing seems to be a checklist item instead of a journey.  This healing and closeness to God is something that we need some guidance on. Because of our broken world it's not our go to response to run to Jesus. So how do we become people who run to Jesus? What does it look like to heal and grow closer to the Lord? Stasi my new friend wrote a wonderful book on this and was so gracious to share some of it with us on the podcast!  Stasi Eldredge is a New York Times bestselling author, and her books have sold nearly 3 million copies and changed women's lives all over the world. A teacher and conference speaker, Stasi is the cofounder of Wild at Heart, a ministry devoted to helping people discover the heart of God, recover their own hearts in God's love, and learn to live in God's Kingdom. Her passion is to see lives transformed by the beauty of the gospel. She and her husband, John, make their home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Conversation Highlights: Too often we think we need to clean up before we come to Jesus but that isn’t trueGod’s invitation is to come close and ever closer to Him all along the wayWe can’t just know about God, we need to know Him intimatelyFacts can only get you so far, and that isn’t enough - we need to have a heart-to-heart intimacy with JesusGod meets us in the midst of our life, even if it’s messy, He is thereGod wants to address the ways we’ve been hurt, He is still about healing the brokenheartedHe wants to reframe how our view of Him has been warped by the pain and the wounds we have experienced in our livesIntimacy grows over time - respond to the invitation from God to meet with HimGod has the right to shape us, purify us and form usWhatever you are doing through the service of love to God is worshipWe need reminded of God’s love for us, every single day!Connect with Stasi! Truth Breaks Through Lies: What To Do When The Truth Doesn’t Feel True with Grace McCready

Send us Fan Mail There are times in our lives when the truth just doesn't feel true. Have you ever been there? You know the truth, you've heard the truth and you even believe the truth... but it still doesn't feel true. It's such a hard mental battle to be in, but it's a battle that can be won!  This week's guest knows all about this battle, especially as she walked the hard road of living with an eating disorder for many years. Grace now shares on this topic to young women who are in the same place she used to be. Grace McCready is a writer and speaker who is passionate about encouraging young women through personal stories and scriptural truths. She is the author of Real Recovery & The Ring by Spring Ruse, and she blogs at Tizzie's Tidbits of Truth. She is also a full-time writer/editor for a Christian ministry. Conversation Highlights: Learning to accept how God created our bodies is importantHow do we put God back in his rightful place in our lives and not put things above him?John 8:32 - the truth sets us free in every area of our livesWhen we stop to remember what is true about who God says we are, we can recognize lies easierEating disorders are rooted in lies from the devil and we need to treat them with seriousnessRecovery requires replacing these lies with God’s truth, not just managing symptomsRecovery is a slow, daily choice, not a single “lightbulb moment” - it involves rewriting expectations & consistently applying truth, even when it doesn’t “feel” trueDaily exposure to truth found in scripture rewires the mindWrite down the lies you’re believing and the truth from scripture that combats that lie and read them over and overTake the pressure off of yourself that your healing and recovery have to look a certain way - continue to lean into God’s Word and search for what he says about itConnect with Grace! Overcomer: Find Freedom From Addiction, Shame & False Identity with Caitlin Hawk

Send us Fan Mail We have a couple options when it comes to sharing our story. We can keep it inside or we can tell others about how God has saved us. Our testimonies change other people's lives whether we believe it or not. It says in scripture that "they will know us by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony." (Rev 12:11). We need to be brave enough to share what God has done in our lives because on the other side of our obedience could be someone's freedom. That's something to chew on huh?  This week's guest has taken that verse and ran with it! Caitlin is so bold about he faith and how Jesus saved her life that if gives me chills every time I hear her share! She went through some very dark times... BUT GOD!! Now she tells anyone who will listen about how Jesus can save them!  Caitlin Hawk is an author, speaker, fitness and soccer coach and REALTOR® based in Knoxville, Tennessee. After experiencing radical personal transformation through identity renewal in Christ, Caitlin now equips others to walk free—mind, body, soul and spirit. Her heart is to see the body of Christ released from addiction, bondage and false beliefs through truth and Scripture. Caitlin is a wife and mom of two daughters and spends much of her free time cheering from the sidelines of soccer fields. Conversation Highlights: When we are vulnerable with our testimony it allows others the freedom to be vulnerable as wellIt’s okay to let people know how dark your past was so they can see how powerful Jesus isThe only way to overcome addiction, identity issues, etc is to know who you are as a new creation in ChristCalling yourself an overcomer is establishing who you are in Christ and walking in itIf you understand who you are in Christ and what Jesus says over you, you will realize that you may be struggling with a stronghold right now but that is not your identityRenew your mind to what scripture says about you every single day - consistency is key!We have to be humble enough to say we are struggling - until there is vulnerability and an open heart that says “I’m not okay”, healing won’t come because Jesus won’t force healing on youFind a person who is set apart to shepherd others into a deeper relationship with Christ for supportDiscovering your Spiritual Gifting is an important part of stepping into who God has made you to be - find a church that encourages that and believes in the giftings of the SpiritRemember what God has brought you through, he will not abandon you, helps grow your confidence in ChristConnect with Caitlin! The Divine Masterpiece of Disability: You Aren’t An Accident, You’re Divinely Designed with Nadia Mossburg

Send us Fan Mail There are conversations that feel too taboo to talk about and for some reason disabilities seem to be one of those. We are going to take that away this week as we chat with one of the most influential women I know, who happens to also be disabled.  Nadia Mossburg a disability rights advocate, former Senior Policy Adviser at the U.S. Department of Labor and a woman who has lived with cerebral palsy for 56 years. Her debut devotional, Divinely Disabled: A 30-Day Devotional to Discovering God's Heart for the Disability Community, grew out of nearly four decades of walking with Christ and wrestling deeply with what Scripture actually says about disability, design and divine purpose. Her passion for reaching others for the disability community is inspiring. She shares the faithfulness and goodness of God any chance she gets and I'm honored she could do that on the podcast this week.  Conversation Highlights: We need to redefine disability as a divine masterpiece, not an accidentGod’s purpose is found through disability, not in spite of itOur joy as Christians can bubble over into our daily lives, impacting others in ways we don’t even realizeWherever you are, you are on assignment from God to reach those around you for himGod’s plan unfolds by taking the next right step, even when it feels overwhelmingDon’t be afraid to have honest conversations with GodDisability is an aspect of God’s creativity and workmanshipConnect with Nadia! Your Yes to God Matters: When Saving One Led to Saving Thousands with Becky Murray

Send us Fan Mail Have you ever wondered how your yes to the Lord could make any kind of big impact on others? Maybe you've disqualified yourself by thinking you couldn't do anything big for God. That's just not true. God has something specific for each and every one of us when it comes to kingdom impact. Your yes to God matters for more than just you, it matters for others! There are people on the other side of your obedience waiting for you to step into what God is calling you to do. That wasn't something that Becky was looking for when she went on a mission trip to Sierra Leone in 2006 but it's where God asked her to say yes. A yes that mattered to more than just her. A yes that would change the lives of thousands of people! Becky Murray is the founder of One By One, a Christian ministry dedicated to ending human trafficking. Her journey began after meeting a young girl on the streets of Sierra Leone who thought Becky had bought her shoes in exchange for sex — an encounter that compelled her to abandon plans to become a lawyer. Today, One By One works across Kenya, Pakistan, Uganda, bringing freedom to many lives. Ten years ago, Becky launched the Dignity Project, which provides reusable sanitary pads and trafficking prevention education to girls, and has reached 50,000 girls. Becky has spoken at the Houses of Parliament and the White House on human trafficking-related issues. She is the longest-serving female presenter on TBN UK, and is the author of Embrace The Journey. Conversation Highlights: No human should ever be bought or soldOne-By-One has reached more than 53K kids around the worldTrafficking is a global issue, it’s not limited to specific regions and it exploits vulnerabilityPeriod poverty - girls miss school due to lack of sanitary products, making them vulnerable to false job offers aka traffickingWe need to pray every day, “God show me who my neighbor is today” so we can have eyes to see where God is wanting us to make an impact for the kingdomPrevention is better than a cure - if we can stop children from going into trafficking we can help save them completely but there is still protection for those who have been in itThe Holy Spirit can speak to our hearts as gentle as a butterfly but can pierce our hearts like a sword to get us into actionIf we had the talents, skills or finance to do everything God is asking us to do, we would be tempted to take the creditThe only thing the Holy Spirit is looking for is the person who says “I’m available to do what you ask”, because that enables him to be able to do everything we can’t doConnect with Becky!
