Every Child Deserves to Have a Future: Justice for Nolan Wells

Every Child Deserves to Have a Future: Justice for Nolan WellsAn eight-year-old’s declaration—“Every child deserves to have a future”—becomes a mirror through which we examine Nolan Wells, America’s racial history, adultification, language, inherited worldview, and what adults transmit to the next generation. We proclaim Justice for Nolan Wells, inspired by the words emanating from heart of an 8 year old posing a profound question: “What are you teaching your children, adults?”For Black Americans, Nolan's story does not arrive in a historical vacuum. When I say that, I am not talking about a roll call of famous cases whose names became headlines, documentaries, hashtags, or movements. The truth is larger—and far more devastating—than the names America remembers. People were enslaved, brutalized and killed whose stories were never recorded. Racial terror occurred outside the reach—though sometimes with the participation, acquiescence or indifference—of institutions supposedly responsible for justice. Families grieved people whose deaths never entered the national record. The gaps in that record are themselves part of the history. So, the sting runs deep. But intellectual discipline does not require historical amnesia. We can hold historical truth, historical memory, and the evidentiary facts of Nolan's individual case simultaneously. And those evidentiary facts require care. Where the evidence remains undetermined, we should resist manufacturing certainty in either direction. And perhaps that is why unanswered questions can hurt in ways difficult to explain outside the history. They have echoes. Reimagine We Framework: Self-Mastery and the Worldview Accountability Funnel

SELF-MASTERY AND THE WORLDVIEW ACCOUNTABILITY FINNEL This episode introduces a practical Self-Mastery tool for examining monolithic claims about Black people. “Monolithic thinking is dangerous because it strips millions of people of their individuality, then turns a manufactured racial narrative into permission to judge, exclude, control, and harm them.” The Worldview Accountability Funnel narrows sweeping claims about Black people until the speaker must confront the relational distance between what they believe, what they can prove, and whom they actually know—because when certainty exceeds both evidence and relationship, what remains is not knowledge, but worldview conditioning. This central question arises: How Certain Are You About People You Do Not Know? FROM MONOLITH TO HUMAN BEING State the Claim: Black people are...Trace the Source: Who or what taught you that?Weigh the evidence: Does your certainty exceed your experience?Define the Behavior: What exactly do you mean?Test the Relationship: Whom do you actually know?Revise or Relinquish: Say only what the evidence supports.AUDIENCE REFLECTION ETHOSWorldview Accountability Funnel: How Certain Are You About People You Do Not Know? What do you believe about Black people that your actual relationships—or lack of relationships—cannot honestly support? If your certainty did not come from personal knowledge, who or what constructed that worldview for you? What belief are you willing to confront, revise, or relinquish so that you can encounter a human being instead of a racial narrative?
